It's a lot easier to spread when anyone can just decide to check it out. I see few people considering them truly high quality or influential as games; what followed in their footsteps? Really, they kind of remind me of 2048; other people did and could do what they're doing better, but no one will actually pay upfront for a similar game when a decent enough one is free. If anything, I'd say they actually sabotaged their own particular genre. I mean Black Ops 4 did away with having a campaign mode specifically so it could have a mode like Fortnite, and it's getting great reviews and preorder numbers, including passing the previous CoD in preorders almost instantly, so Like, yeah, PUBG is a thing, but that type of game wouldn't be nearly as huge without Fortnite --- Seplito Nash, Smelling Like the Vault since 1996 Step FOUR!
