The movie's about people from modern times falling through a portal that throws them into a Monster Hunter-esque world. Rapid fire, landmines, sticky bombs, charged explosions, and cluster bombs are already a thing in Monster Hunter and they use gunpowder for the creation of their ammo. You also have tranquilizers, smoke bombs, Barrell bombs, and a couple other things that hunters can already use. That guy's gun is way too small for anything. I'm at the point where I think he's gonna run into a Kula, get his ass kicked, and be saved by a Rathalos fireballing it then roaring, Jurassic Park style. It should be a Devlijo but I don't expect that much. He'll eventually learn bigger gun is better and probably use one of the rapid fire HBG. I just want the real MHW experience of 3 heavy bowgun users and one poor greatsword user struggling - even better if he puts on his Rocksteady Mantle before going through the explosions in a dramatic scene.
