I also gotta say... I was at macy's for a good 45 minutes, went to the dressing room a couple times (also bought a couple pairs of shorts) and their soundtrack absolutely shredded.
highlights were:
Head Over Feet by Alanis Morissete
DJ Khaled - I'm The One ft. Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance (I non ironically like this song)
Mr. Brightside by the Killers

I usually go to macy's because I have a macy's card which is 20% off everything in addition whatever their sales are, plus it's close to my house. I hate clothes shopping more than almost anything, but you can get pretty good stuff for a reasonable price there. I just ignore their certain date/time coupons.

I just needed a pair of brown dress shoes that I probably won't need to wear again and I got a pretty ok deal. And goddammit, I think they look nice

I wen't to macy's to buy some dress shoes and they had the dumbest promotion ever. I was checking out and they said they have a "presale" deal going on and if I come back to pick up the shoes on Friday I'll get 30% off. It was such a weird concept that it took me a second to get what they were saying. I obviously said no and took them home. I would pay 30% extra to not have to come back.

I guess the idea behind it is if I leave and come back Friday I'll buy more stuff while I'm picking up the shoes? I have no idea

You know how the Warriors are officially "Golden State"? I always thought that was odd. They're the only team like that in the big four that doesn't have a city or state name. I wonder, would other teams be allowed to rename like that if they wanted? What would you want one of your teams to go by if they did that?

I think "Rocky Mountain Avalanche" doesn't sound half-bad, but I can't think of any good ones for the other three. Going the Warriors route, "Centennial State" doesn't fit with any of them

yeah that's kind of the point of those rules - no bias. Vikes would be my #1 for NFL, but that's the only MN team I'd include in my top 5 for any sport.

I forgot how sexy the Leafs jerseys are...they're probably my #6.

I'll figure out my MLB/NBA ones later, but god damn those classic yankee gray pinstripes with that iconic Jay Z logo are really great (and I fucking hate the yankees)

My top 5 favorite jerseys for every team that's not my favorite teams:
(each team has home/away/alternate jerseys of course, so I'm just going to go with their most recognizable ones, like if this was the vikings, it'd be their purple jerseys)
I will include images with my #1 for each league but beyond that is too much work

NHL:
1. Winnipeg Jets
Everything about this sweater is sexy...the logo, the color scheme, the deep shade of blue with the white and the lighter shade of blue...I'm obviously not happy that the Jets just stomped the absolute shit out of my favorite team, but I still like them (except Byfuglien)
pB46pvt

2. Vegas Golden Knights. Like I've said, the name of the team is terrible, but the jerseys and logo is f&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&ing awesome

3. San Jose Sharks

4. Nashville Preds

5. NY Islanders

NFL:

5: Carolina Panthers

4. Chicago Bears

3. Denver Broncos

2. Seattle Seahawks

1. New Orleans Saints (I fucking hate the Saints but their jerseys, logo, and color scheme are really nice)

I'm gonna have to do MLB/NBA later..I'll give it some thought

It only happens in the regular season. Depends on the team/player, but maybe once every like 5-10 games a team will have a full on fight with 2 5 minute fighting majors given. It's allowed by the league because they think it makes the sport more popular, but it's literally WWE.

There will be scuffles, but full on fights never happen in the playoffs and the olympics because the players are actually playing the game and don't want to do stupid ass WWE stunts. And yeah it's banned in a lot of levels of hockey.

It's also a big cause of concussions. A lot of fights don't have any real hits, but if you take one clean shot to the face, especially from a professional athlete experienced with fighting in hockey, it's going to do damage.

Maybe I'm going crazy, but I think the NHL is the worst run league of the big 4, but it's the least popular so it kind of gets swept under the rug. Bad officiating, no consistency with fines/suspensions (just like the NFL), stagnant salary cap situation, bad CBA which makes lockouts an inevitability, bad ownership for the most part. They are also just as guilty as the NFL for hiding the whole concussion issue. And they still allow fighting! I get embarrassed to be a hockey fan when there's a fighting a hockey game.

One of my old roommates waked and baked literally every day (not at 420 am tho). This was the summer between undergrad and grad school for him. His dad worked at an engineering company and pulled some strings with the CEO to get him a job in the lab for the summer. It all came up pretty quick, so my roommate had no chance of passing the drug test. He got clean urine from a different roommate, went and took the test, but it turns out he went to the wrong clinic. The test had to be done by a certain time, so he had to drive to the right clinic right then. He had a little bit of the clean urine left, so he used the rest to dilute it with his own. Ended up failing the test (obviously) and it was a pretty big embarrassment for his dad.

Unrelated chick-fil-a story: there are hardly any of them here in MN, but my mom really likes the polynesian sauce from there. One day I thought I'd be nice and bring her back some, so I put like 20 of the little containers in my backpack (in a separate pocket) and somehow they all ruptured and leaked everywhere. One thing I like about Cane's is that they know they make chicken fingers very very well, and that's the only thing they do. They don't clutter up the menu with extra crap that's not going to be as good just for the sake of having a little variety.
