rec sports league update:

kickball team is off to a blazing 3-0 start, the best in franchise history. We beat these fools like 13-1 today. Kind of surprising because we've always been average at best.

Spring league hockey team is a meh 2-3.

Slurpee, I saw you're doing flag football? Not sure what sort of organization you're going through, but ours was through the city at a city park...are there people in your league who take it wayyy too seriously? definitely were a few at ours

did you guys know that nintendo made switch cartridges taste bad so little kids don't choke on them? I was in mexico for a wedding and the groom's little brother and a bunch of others were in my room. The brother had never played a switch and heard about the cartridges tasting bad (which I never knew about). All he wanted to do was lick my games. Turns out he's right...they taste awful. I had about 12 people lick my video games

Sometimes they're week 1 starters and sometimes they'll sit for a while (Goff and trubisky are recent examples)

Probably a lot more common for them to sit for a while to start the season

also...at the beginning of the season a lot of the NHL talking heads thought that VGK and colorado would be the 2 worst teams in the league

I know the new expansion rules in the NHL are much more favorable than in the past (cough cough MN Wild, and other teams), but I think GMGM (general manager george mcphee) struck a combination of being good at what he does, striking certain players while the iron is hot, and being lucky

I'd probably kill myself. I'm on the preds bandwagon now, but I wouldn't hate it if VGK won. I'm getting a little sick of the "Vegas is the first expansion team in history to __________" circlejerk. Yeah we get it, they're good and it's their first season.

Poor Sam. It also looks like Case is the only one of the 3 Vikings QBs with a decent amount of job stability

none of the other ones drafted were any good at all either

That's a fancy-ass mouse and keyboard, or at least it is to me. I have some basic Dell keyboard I got for like $4 at Goodwill.

I had this$30 mouse/keyboard set for years and it finally broke, so I decided to just spend the money and buy a nicer one. Seemed worth it considering how much time I spend using it. It's pretty neat because there are hundreds of patterns you can choose for the lights and can make your own if you're into that. Apparently also good for gaming and "fast response time" or some shit.
