Speaking of mayo, a restaurant in the building I work in has truffle mayo and it is fucking delicious. They give it out with garlic parm fries and the cups are pretty big and flavor is really strong so a little bit goes a long way. I usually save most of it (like 80%+) and take it home to make a sandwich or two with.

that alliance burger article makes me want to buy one of those for 22$. that's fine eating and i would be supporting the alliance.

Radiators started suddenly making a hissing sound. And a new bed.

i'm adjusting to a new bed too. gives good sleep but wake up with painful back. takes about 5 minutes in a comfy chair to resolve the issue.

i guess it's an improvement over the lumpy couch and the dog seems to like sleeping on it (she hasn't slept next to me yet) think i move too much for her liking.

Dogs exist in a pack mentality so they would "understand" if you wanted them to go lay down somewhere else. It would reinforce your position in the hierarchy as well which is normal to a dog.

stubborn trait does something to a dog. it won't listen sometimes. i had to make my dog move off the bed so i can put the sheets on. had to budge her off the bed in a soft manner and get her to move till i got finished.

she seems to really love my bed and is welcome to sleep on it (i have low demands) for the dog though she gives more than i can ever repay her in her entire life.

Maybe some people itt are unfamiliar with whole foods and trader Joes? They're not typically a tobacco alcohol lottery establishment, they're sort of like these places that sell organicy type foods and the like, usually at higher cost than regular grocery stores.

for a time costco didn't take EBT despite the food being uncooked. glad they changed it over time. i shop there every month and save on dinner items compared to supermarket.

is this a problem where the dog wakes you up in the morning? i can help with that.

just take it out and go back to bed, i do this all the time. try not to get too sore at it (it would probably do the same for people if the roles were reversed).

i kinda yell at my dog too but not the overwhelming make the dog scared sort of way i just ask for 5-10 minutes to wake up.

the most basic cooking skill :(. and sometimes i screw up but i can usually fix the dish

last time i didn't cook the rice enough but there was water left. just turned on the heat on low for an additional 5 mins and that was salvagable.

not sympathy or compassion or whatever else

i know a lot of people tend to mix them up and/or think of them as synonymous, but you can be empathetic without being sympathetic, and sympathetic without being empathetic

can't say for sure about the empathy thing. just know how it feels to be witnessing the other side of the fence when others can't make ends meet :(
