I called at 10am to book an appointment.
Reception: Oh I'm sorry sir, we're booked out for appointments today. Me: Ah ok fair enough. I'm free anytime this week? Reception: Hmm we're really going to struggle this week. Me: ...Ok, how about next week? Reception: Hmm I'm not sure. You could try calling tomorrow before 9am, that would be best. So I can't book in advance. I have to call up at a very early time of day just to see if it's possible they have any time that day? The fuck kind of doctor's practise is this? Thats sort of odd. They should have appointments recorded in a computer or at the very least a calendar book. there has to be other hospitals that are within your insurance coverage area for the problem TC is experiencing i would try that even if have to drive 15 miles out of town. would be screwed up if all are pulling the same shit. --- I'm pretty much Stu from Rugrats making pudding at 4 in morning because I've lost control of my life - Polycosm ... I think the "call early tomorrow morning" thing is in case they have appointment cancelations yeah but they should still have an appointment calendar and be able to say at the least "we are all booked out but our earliest available time is X, you can try calling tomorrow to see if there have been any cancellations" --- ... The call in morning... at least at my vet clinic that I work at is code for call in the morning right when we take phone calls and we'll probably get you in on the same day. Probably.

In the United States, you have your pick of walk in clinics and private practices to choose from. The longest Ive ever waited at the urgent care clinics was a few minutes. Granted, legislature from the obama administration forces us to pay unbelievable fees, though.

treewojima posted...I think the "call early tomorrow morning" thing is in case they have appointment cancelations Because most people won't call back the following morning if you an appointment. They want you to fill the cancellation. What would be good however was if they asked you if you were available at short notice. Then they can call you if there are by cancellations.
