Personally speaking, I've probably put more time into Sims 2 than any other game I've played in my life (made even better by the fact that I got the Ultimate Edition for free), my only real complaints is how inconvenient it is to reset neighborhoods to engage in fresh shenanigans, and how mod support for Sims 2 has slowed down to a dead crawl (for obvious reasons, of course, but still). Starting from Warlords onward, the lore has been a complete steaming pile, and BFA looks to be keeping with that tradition. The only modern mmo I could recommend besides WoW is Old Republic.
