I had one job and they tried to make me run the whole lil vacuum shop solo within 2 weeks. I didn't panic or anything but I hated have such a big role with no experience. I had to dip cause it was too much pressure. The owner was pretty damn careless to put so much on me.

Anything else was Community Service. Everyone always says Im a good worker tho. I have a bad back and just hid it by using lots of painkillers. You can't keep that up

I do. But I can't even do stuff I enjoy without painkillers cause my scoliosis is that bad. Plus I have daily abdominal pain. I gotta use my good days to do stuff I enjoy or I won't be able to keep a positive attitude

I wouldn't do that. This will mean nothing here but I hate when people pay attention to me ailments irl. I immediately shutdown any non professional showing me concern. If Im trying to have fun I don't want to feel like Im holding back others. I try to get them to realize Im fine with falling behind. I've came to terms with my limits. It's hard to tell empathetic people to not care... it's a strange thing to argue against

You have no responsibilities that is making you the way you are.

Get a job, hobby, some energy or a combination of all three and start living life.

I have a difficult time feeling bad for people who don't work because of anxiety and depression. I suffer with both of these, and have a mental health rap sheet a mile long. I've been on several different medications, and have more than one diagnoses tagged to me. Bipolar, schizophrenia, generalized anxious disorder, schizoaffective disorder...

I've had to quit jobs because of panic attacks. Left side of body would go numb, my heart racing, breathing sporadically, thinking to myself "I'm going to die!". Had to get the hell outta there, and go home and cover up and cry like a baby.

I couldn't hold down a job, but I kept looking for jobs, until i eventually found one that I could handle. I work as a security guard. I'm mostly autonomous, and I don't have a boss breathing down my neck, and I rarely have to deal with people.

I've been here for about 2 and half years. Considering every job I've had previously only lasted about 6 months, I'd say I'm doing okay.

If I can do it, I'm confident that just about anyone can.

I've had people in my life that have abused the disability system. They claim they can't work because of panic attacks, but then they routinely leave the house for fun things like, going to the movies, or going out to eat. If you can do those things on a regular basis, then you can work.

I never had a job either, albeit that's because I entered the job market when the recession hit, and thus I got caught in a limbo of "no job without work experience, no work experience without a job".

As things currently stand, I'm completely unable to be hired for anything, which makes me functionally useless as a human being and I've accepted that I'm excess stock that never should have been born in the first place.

I take no medication and I've been through a lot which I don't feel like saying. I'm also pretty antisocial.

I have had jobs before but not right now. I am usually miserable at work anyway unless I have people to talk to while I am working. and that only happened in one job. most of the jobs I was very bored and hated it.

Seriously though, I have a referral put in for vocational services at the place I go to for my mental health issues. I've been trying to get something going since August but life keeps throwing shit in my face.

I like playing guitar. I'm pretty decent and my friend wants to start a band but it's not going anywhere.

A band sounds excellent, it doesn't have to go anywhere yet but if you enjoy it and it gets you socialising with people and working towards a common goal then you are half way there. A small tweak to your attitude to be a bit more positive then you will be on the road to absolutely slaying life.

if they had the will power to do it then they would have already. for many its the thought that they can and they arnt or wont that ends up putting them into a darker hole. and that hole ends up being the only thing they know or can content with. usually it ends very very badly if someone isnt there to help them on their feet.

if you can actually get over that mountain then things get substantially easier and you will start to have more confidence. unfortunately for many it is a mountain and it isnt easy for them. iv went through the same thing and eventually it led to me trying to kill my self twice before i actually got help from someone. make no mistake, life still isnt easy afterwards, but youd still have easier means of contending with it.

tc, i strongly recommend you talk to someone even your family about it so at the very least they might be able to help you talk to someone professional that can help you through what your going through. the longer you wait the worse its going to get.

Everyone's different and everyone been through different things.

Understandable, but you can atleast try. I've been hospitalized 3 different times for mental health reasons so I know how hard it is, but I'm still glad that I did it. Those experiences help shape you as a person and as a man.
