If this place was actually good, famous people would want to post here. I don't see Tom Hanks, or Bill Gates posting here. My experience with famous people has been with The Witcher 3's senior game designer, where he posted in my topic to confirm/ deny a thought I had about the game prior to release. Another CDPR employee chimed in and I felt pretty special tbh.

Never happens on GameFAQs.

Reddit's the best place to view, lurk, read, watch things, but even as a moderator of a few subreddits, I don't ever feel the need to comment often.

I think discussion is good outside of default subreddits. People upvote and downvote for the stupidest reasons sometimes.

I remember when I had my first panic attack. I thought I had drank too much caffeine-- I legitimately thought I was going to die. Spent overnight at the hospital and couldn't contain my long and exasperated panic attack.

I then got a panic attack a week later and once again ended up in the hospital until a doctor finally suggested I visit the family doctor for some anxiety meds. The 6 months after I got off the meds were good days.

If I remember correctly, CDPR employees had a "wishlist" of easter eggs they wanted to have in the Witcher 3.

These sort of things probably happen without much guidance from the higher ups in the development team.

The idealized characters in anime look almost nothing like Japanese people.

Literally all the traits that are seen as attractive in Japanese culture (and I guess in extension East Asian culture) are incredibly rare/ unfounded by majority of the populace:

-natural colored hair, eyes = nope
-big eyes = nope
-busty = nope
-super pale = nope (although Japanese women tend to be pretty light, they're not Northwest European pale)
-tall = nope

Only Yesterday is indeed one of Studio Ghibli's best. It and Grave of the Fireflies are also Isao Takahata films. Miyazaki gets more of the spotlight and has the more fantasy driven films, but Takahata's are typically better from a narrative standpoint (and The Tale of the Princess Kaguya is Ghbli's most visually stunning film, imo).

Cool, will check out Princess Kaguya too then. I have the entire filmography available to watch so I'll probably end up watching most of the Ghibli films.

Howl is indeed popular, but it's an awful film. Mononoke is good though.

I tried watching the Ghibli films in chronological order yesterday by starting with Lupin, and it was kind of wack, reminded me too much of a cheesy Western cartoon.
