Holding up my end of the Daddy of Light bargain with GMUN, I've also started watching it. I'm three episodes in so far. I guess I'll post thoughts here since the other topic purged

It's alright, but I know literally nothing about FFXIV so some of this is going over my head. A lot of it is based around Japanese societal stuff too and I don't know much about that either. I just keep feeling so bad for the kid in his weird office job society and all the life lessons he's learned so far seem completely backwards to me. Girls quitting has nothing to do with the blatant sexism the episode went out of its way to display, they just need cute uniforms! Also, pretend to be someone completely different just to make clients happy! Uhhh

The father/son stuff is all good though so I'll keep watching! I'm just glad I don't work in Japan.

I thought XIII-2 had a lot of problems and it's easily my least favorite Final Fantasy, but most people consider it the best game in the trilogy by far so I dunno, might be worth a try.

Lightning Returns plays really differently than the other two but I thought it was great!

Also Lightning is the main character because Lightning is the best

I'm getting Rinoa hour 2 but I'll save Lightning with my third save, assuming she still needs it by then. I guess it isn't guaranteed that I'll get a third save, though, so it's up to you if you want to take that risk!

Eh, he's alright. I don't dislike anyone from XIII but the only two I really like are Lightning and, to a much lesser extent, Sazh. Chocolina and Lumina too if we're counting the sequels

The gameplay and pacing can get a little tedious at times but overall I'd say it's worth it. The battle system was well executed and the story had some legitimately great moments. Plus Agnes is awesome so if you play it you'll probably start saving her!

Glad to hear that topic of mine accomplished something, especially something as great as getting other people to play Life is Strange!

I'm also happy to hear you enjoyed it. Regarding the spoilers I didn't really care for the nightmare sequence either. The one shining moment was the hallway of memories at the end, though, like you said. I was pretty obsessed with the game by the time Episode 5 came out, so all of those memories meant a lot to me too!

Oh man, this also reminds me that the first episode of the prequel to Life is Strange is coming out soon-ish!

My only concern about this would be if someone was planning to use your favorite game for that challenge. However, in this case, two people said Batman: Arkham Asylum were their favorite game, so that isn't a problem! I went ahead and added Mass Effect 2 to the doc.

EDIT: To expand on my point, people can definitely change their favorite game, but I think it would be fair to keep the old game on the list too for the rest of 2017. In your case, it just wasn't a problem because someone else had the same favorite

This isn't a competition and there's no prize for winning aside from a sense of accomplishment. This is just a fun thing to participate in while we all work through our video game libraries. Mario Tennis Open (3DS)

Well, I have a new worst game ever. Good lord, I don't know why I stuck with this through the tournament mode. I haven't played a Mario Tennis since the N64 one but I remember loving it, and this one removed everything that made that one fun. There was no aiming or timing involved, those awful chance shot circles were the only realistic way to score. What a travesty of a video game.
