I don't care about BD being in this but I can at least see the logic against it. Claiming that people would exclude FFII if they could get away with it is a bit silly, too. One has Final Fantasy in the name and the other doesn't. There's a logically consistent argument to be made there without you presuming stuff about their motives for making it.

Also, I forget, is there a reason why Kingdom Hearts original characters (like, not the Disney ones) are excluded from this? I'd argue they have as much of a right as Bravely Default, if not more. I feel like this was discussed during nominations but I basically missed those.

Now I have my own question about if something should count for a challenge! Would anyone mind if I used three loosely connected Life is Strange games for the three games in a series challenge? They'd be:

-Life is Strange
-Life is Strange: Before the Storm (it likely won't be fully released by the end of the year but I'll play the two episodes that definitely will release multiple times to make up for that)
-Love is Strange (A fanmade LiS visual novel that took me five hours to get through but isn't official)

I'm just not sure if it's right to count BtS since it won't be finished or if a fanmade thing could even be considered part of a 'series' for this challenge, but I doubt I'll finish three other games in a series so this is my only shot.

I love my annual Oct 7-11 replays of Life is Strange. And yep, it's still the best game ever.

You'd think after playing through it ten times it wouldn't be able to make my cry anymore but NOPE, it still gets me right in the feels

Yeah, it was great, you should try out Love is Strange! Before the Storm is also another excellent example of it being fun just to spend time with the characters even without crazy time stuff going on, I'd recommend that too

This is a fanmade Life is Strange visual novel, and I'm ashamed as a LiS fanboy that I didn't even know it existed until today. Hopefully I've redeemed myself by having played through all the routes now!

I thought it was awesome. It looked and played great for a free fanmade thing, and was way better than a lot of VNs I've paid money for. All the characters were faithful and well-written, and the routes all had a lot of heart. It was also nice just to see everyone interacting in a world where nothing terrible was going on, they just got to be people and I loved it.

FFIX: The end when Garnet rushed out to hug Zidane
FFIV: When the orphans still loved esper Terra
FFX: The laughing scene
FFIV: When Relm shamed Ultros into not being a jerk

EDIT: Though, they should probably all be from different games so replace that last one with Lightning being badass and killing everyone on the train at the start of FFXIII
