cant help thinking Evil Morty is clearly the endgame for the series. And that he is likely related to someone but cant think of who.

But then I remember while the writers like doing the plot episodes, they mostly just want to have fun. I do think Rick Prime is done

One of my top 5 shows of all time. The five seasons they made were great

Eh. I really enjoyed it but the MCU gets way too much hate for having required homework when (spoilers for all Gen V) the entire ending requires you have watched up to date on The Boys. Even the credits scene features a character from The Boys.

Great show though

It was rushed. But enjoyable

The Marvels. It was fun

That was great. The only complaint I had was Disney+ tried to tell me to watch Secret Invasion at the end

Just finished and I thought it was pretty fun and enjoyable if a bit rushed. My biggest complaint is they should have had this as the end of Phase 4

Eternals and Black Widow fall into this category too. Even Love and Thunder which I enjoyed.

I wonder if it's even any worse than the Phase 1 and 2 movies or if people and critics are just feeling bored by the average stuff now.

There was a time when an okay superhero movie was still better than the average superhero movie. That is no longer the case.

I think its a bit of a mixture of the movies quality not being as good, giving voices to people who just want the MCU to fail and some people just being over super heroes.

the only projects Ive felt deserved a bad score are Quantumania and Secret Invasion

I dont know too much about the comics but I have heard that Kang has always been a bit of a joke villain and never really succeeds. And that in Secret Wars comics he is beaten quite early and not even part of it.

So if true then maybe thats what they are going for. Not saying its the right call and they definitely f***ed up in Quantumania

I cant shake the feeling that Kang gave the ability to Loki at the End of Time and this is all some ploy

theres specific recipes. The game keeps a count of what you sell and clears it when you achieve a recipe and leave the bazaar. Because of this you can game the system

ie: Recipe 1: 2A + 1B
Recipe 2: 1B + 2C
if you sell 2A, 1B, 2C then youll achieve both recipes

I've been wandering around and fighting wolves in the desert.
But I only have Vaan, so anything I do is going to be slower than it'd be after I play up to the point where I get some more party members. I think I'll do that.

I think if you fight the Werewolves in the west desert they drop a pretty OP sword (although you may have to steal it I dont remember)

I also recommend the Zodiac Age. Since its got 4x speed

I have a really hard time believing this. Ive been pretty defensive of Phase 4 and enjoyed Eternals and Love and Thunder.

But even I thought Quantumania sucked and Secret Invasion should have been set on fire. I cant imagine anyone ever thinking either of those products was fit to be released let alone good

I think had Z actually released then theyd be remembered fondly. I really enjoy everything X and Y added. But it was clearly missing content.

I tried Sun and couldnt get halfway through. Scarlet/Violet were somewhat fun but once you realise half the roster is route 1 birds and bugs from every single game I lost a lot of interest.

Ok that was great. Great first MCU tv show for 2023. Shame they havent done another MCU tv show this year

That would be a dark series. I reckon they are going to do the opposite. Not address it and try and make sure as many of the force sensitive characters theyve introduced arent part of the academy

Part of me does hope they can somehow change the future to erase at the very least episode 9. I know they wont especially with how hard Mandalorian seems to be building up to Episode 9 details.

But man did I hate that movie. Didnt love Last Jedi but Id at least tolerate that one existing.

Eh. Id say Disney brought this upon themselves. While Ashoka is basically Rebels 2, they did introduce her in Mandalorian implying to general audiences that you could jump from that to this.

Honestly I dont see why they dont use something like the MCU Legends series for this.

Episode 9 did give us a hint about what happened to Ashoka. It wasnt a good outlook

So much of it is designed around people saying oh shit its that character I remember that guy! and not enough set up for the people who arent in it for the cameos and returning characters

i mean it is a show featuring the cast of Rebels continuing the plotline of the show Rebels. Its in this shit position where people like me dont want a bunch of exposition explaining 5 seasons of a tv show again and people like you who need that.

Although there are a few 15min YouTube videos that can give you a rundown of the plot of rebels pretty quickly.

I always say if you enjoy the anime. If you get to the end of Enies Lobby switch to the manga. Because it becomes a chore to watch the anime due to how slowly its adapted.

as for watching the anime? Id say restart from the beginning. I loved the live action, but it took every single character moment I thought was most important to understanding that character, and changed it removing the subtlety of why it was important.

I still hate doing it though. It started in high school when I was reading The Dark Tower Series and only the first 3 books were out and King had been working in the series since the 70's.

Thats fair enough.

But I will say Sanderson is in a different element. Hes very vocal about what hes writing, how far along he is and what stage the book is at (ie: how many drafts, editing etc).

He also does make a huge effort to make sure he completes series. Alcatraz a fairly small middle grade book series (compared to his others) had issues with rights and was stuck for 10 years. He still made sure to finish the last book in between writing Stormlight and Mistborn books.

Not to mention hes a prolific outliner and has a working team to track consistency between books.

there is likely 16-20 years between now and Stormlight being finished. But if theres anyone Id guarantee that all 5 of those books will be finished it would be Sanderson and his team

He had been actively writing a Mistborn screenplay for movie pitchs a year or so ago.

as for the screenplay stuff, hes no longer being coy. Rings of Power and Wheel of Time arent doing as well as Hollywood expected so the sure thing he thought he had has become less so. And with the strikes going on its less likely now

TBF his stuff is mostly connected through easter eggs. There's so far not a single case of you needing to read one series to understand something in another, just additional context

Id disagree with this after the last two books hes released (before Secret Projects) as theres some pretty big connections there. And hes said after Stormlight 5 we need to chat about the future of the Cosmere because its going to change. Likely meaning become more connected. The secret projects are a good example of this

But honestly if we are at the point where The Lost Metal and Rhythm of War are being adapted we are probably in a good enough place to not worry about those connections

Pretty certain itd be Mistborn.

I imagine well eventually get a Stormlight tv series. Its not as impossible as people think

Loguetown was five chapters in the manga and didn't really have that much going on outside of introducing Smoker, Zoro getting his swords, Buggy's failed attempt to execute Luffy, and teasing Dragon. There is absolutely no reality where this requires more than one episode.

I mean I agree I reckon you could do Loguetown, Reverse Mountain and Whiskey Peak in one hour. But heres the quote from the producer

The biggest one for me that we didn't get to do was Loguetown in the present day, and we needed two more episodes to be able to do it and there wasn't the budget, there wasn't the screen time. And there wasn't room in the eight episodes to do it the way that it deserved to be done. And so we see Loguetown in the very beginning with Rogers' execution. And then, of course, I wanted to come back to Loguetown and just couldn't fit it in the eight episodes. I felt like we were rushing, and it was also a very expensive build. And so that's a regret, for sure.

I could see it being season 2, but I think alabasta will end up being season 3. I think season 2 will likely end up being Reverse Mountain, Logue town, Whiskey Peak, Drum Island and little garden.

Nah, there's no way those stories provide enough content for an entire season. Especially since it would make for much better pacing for Season 2 to be the entire Baroque Works arc, rather than conclude that storyline at the beginning of the next season before doing Skypeia.

I can see the episode breakdown being like so:

S2E1 - Loguetown
S2E2 - Reverse Mountain/Laboon, Whisky Peak
S2E3 - Little Garden
S2E4 - Drum Island, Part 1
S2E5 - Drum Island, Part 2
S2E6 - Alabasta, Part 1
S2E7 - Alabasta, Part 2
S2E8 - Alabasta, Finale

Add two more Alabasta episodes if they're not able to condense everything into three episodes, but also bear in mind that they don't need to limit an episode to one hour's runtime since it's a streaming show and doesn't need to fill a specific time slot. Three episodes, maybe an hour and a half each, should be more than enough to cover it.

Loguetown was already confirmed as 2 episodes. Or at least it was when it was part of season 1.

I think the issue is if you go to the end of Alabasta its too much for 8 episodes. But if you dont go to Alabasta its too little for 8 episodes.

and then for story cohesion not completing the Alabasta saga would feel really weird. Its the only major climax you could end on. Finishing at Drum Island would be such blue balls

i think most people would take a game that has
1 region
with 2015 graphics
that plays like a proper well made game
doesnt cut prior gen gimmicks
gives the player options to turn things off (like exp share)
and is properly balanced or at the very least has some difficulty

As excited as I am for this. Theres 3 requirements

1. 10 episodes
2. they complete Alabasta
3. the budget and production value remains the same as season 1 (if not more because season 1 lost two episodes because of budget)

Will we get past Disk 1 this time (it did look like a bit of Disk 2 content there for a bit)
