I don't get how amazon keeps doing it but they keep making the best comic book tv series. This fit perfectly in thr boys-verse with a nice young adult mix. The mystery, the chemistry, the characters was all great. Ending was a tad messy and I still find the boys style of over the top gore silly but this was top notch

I've seen S1 of Legion. It's a very good show but that's practically in spite of being a comic show. Adding to my belief of this is my sister, a film grad and huge Marvel show nerd, said she tried to watch it "but it was weird." And yeah, I don't think it offers what that crowd is typically looking for. It's definitely also not in the league of The Boys stuff which as far as I can tell is the whole edgy evil supermen rundown with a sprinkle of Trump metaphors.

Legion is great as a supernatural thriller / character study and it happens to be based on a comic

Crap, I did forget about two DC shows

Watchmen- 10/10 until the safe and simple final episode
Sandman- Pretty much perfect and I was expecting a shitshow of an adaptation going in.

That being said, Gen V was better then what I was expecting from what looked like a cashgrab to ride on the popularity of another show.

Because superhero media is rife for deconstruction due to how prolific it's become

Eh. I really enjoyed it but the MCU gets way too much hate for having required homework when (spoilers for all Gen V) the entire ending requires you have watched up to date on The Boys. Even the credits scene features a character from The Boys.

Gen V was alright. Poor man's The Boys

The Boys is fun, the dread of Homelander keeps the stakes high. GenV felt like they took a CW show and threw 3x Game of Throne's gore budget at it.

O this I agree with. Almost every mcu show is more watchable without having seen anything else than gen v is. Gen v is better but it is way more connected and the boys is necessary. This is season 4 essentially
