Yeah, no... I am not a Disney fan. I probably consume less of their output than 90% of this board... but whether you think it's because they went "woke" or that people got tired of them saturating the market with mediocre product:

I remember when I was a little kid, it was in that period of the 80s before the Disney Renaissance and Disney were struggling to adapt for years since the 70s with a series of not so memorable and cheaper looking animated and live action content. They were in much worse shape then. Today they own so many properties and have so much clout and name recognition and marketability it's staggering.

Their 70s films are still better then what they've got today. But I definitely agree with some of your points.

That's what they get for phoning it in. Disney hasn't felt magical to me for a long time. Which makes me sad because I love them. However, I doubt this will make a dent or even a ding in their bank account. They always come out with their heads comfortably above water and with a martini in their hand.

May be a controversial take but I gotta give it to The Exorcist. The Thing is great and a close second but The Exorcist kickstarted an entire subgenre of horror. The Shining is a classic as well, but I honestly think it gets outdone by its own sequel, Doctor Sleep.

It's not controversial. These are all highly regarded films.

I am going to make Thanksgiving for everyone. And I am so excited. However I have never done this before so checking and double checking everything.
I know this isn't good with my diet, but I am deep frying that son of a hen.

So I have to get some oil for the Turkey in that AM. I don't like going on Saturdays so that sucks. But still can't wait.

How long before the cook should I take the turkey out.

I've never deep fried one, but i did make Thanksgiving dinner and I've made some parts of it like mashed potatoes, sweet carrots, cornish game hen and pumpkin cheesecake. I'm sure you'll get all kinds of awesome tips. Hope it all turns out delicious and good luck

Never seen the shining, I personally thought exorcist was boring and the thing scared the me as a kid and still holds up wonderfully today
