I was disappointed in Bravely Default 2.

It's not a bad game. By most standards, it's a very good game. But I was hoping to love it like I did First and Second.

The combat changes and monsters on the field ruined it imo. It broke the strategy because now you can see the enemy default and it's like "well then I'll just heal or buff or do something else"

That may have been someone else. I've learned a bit from some Network To Code training as well as taking advantage of ChatGPT to get a basic framework for what I want a script to do. My end goal is to get to the point where I can write advanced scripts from scratch without needing reference material, but that's likely at least a few years away.

I very recently started writing awk scripts from memory. Feels good tbh.

At least right now, I don't think I want to be in a role where I'm not doing anything and just delegating work to other people. I think my next immediate goal is the Devnet track. I want to get better at coding so I can be great at network automation.

I don't automate network stuff but some guys at my job do and we use Microsoft Systems Center to do most of it. The manual for the thing is big and scary. There's a lot of powershell involved. Maybe take a look at that stuff.

I'm honestly holding back tears right now. My career has been a hell of a journey so far with a ton of twists and turns. Senior network engineer is a title I've been chasing for years at this point. I can't believe it. This is major.

Now I've gotta set my sights on another goal.

Your next goal should be to get one of those Cisco certs that makes companies hire you so they can tell clients they have someone with your cert on staff but in reality you don't do anything because everything can be handled by CCNAs so you just play video games all day.

CCIE or something like that.

Getting a mistrial when there's no jury sounds nearly impossible.

For stuff I absolutely have to have Day 1 I usually use Best buy curbside pickup. that way I can control when I get it. If I want it at 9:30 in the goddamn morning then that's when I'm gonna get it. With Amazon, even if it arrives day 1 I could be spending most of the day twiddling my thumbs.

I only went twice, the first time I went to Best Buy and when I got there the line was already around the building. As I was walking up I overheard a conversation a couple of women were having with an employee complaining about people cutting the line and the employee was like "there's nothing we can do about it" so I thought "hmmmmmm" and then I went and cut the line all the way in the front.

The second time I went to a store that I knew nobody would be at and all I wanted was a washer and dryer and I didn't go early I was there like 30 minutes before opening. There was still like 20 people in line which I thought was surprising.

You could forget they had leukemia. If everyone forgot thatd really fucking suck. Go awhile untreated, rediscover the disease but the prognosis is way worse now. If just you forgot itd certainly strain the relationship and theyd you were an asshole but at least they wouldnt lose treatment time. Still though thats downright evil to do that to someone.

What makes you think the wizard feels curing leukemia is dangerous? He doesn't seem like that much of an asshole. I think if you came to him with "please cure my otherwise fatal disease" he'd probably do it.
