There is a coaxial outlet by the router and in my room. But the modem and router have no place to plug a coaxial cable into, unless you can do ethernet-coaxial with a dedicated cable or converter?

I know nothing about house wiring. My parents recently got gigabit internet from the rural co-op. Our house has no ethernet ports, but it has phone port wiring and there's a cable connecting a phone port in the wall to an outlet labeled "GPON" on a little modem box that is then wired with an ethernet cable into our router.

If I got an adapter off Amazon for the phone jack upstairs and plugged my ethernet into my computer from there, could I get a wired internet connection? Or am I misunderstanding what this GPON cable is accomplishing?

I liked Yoshizawa. It's a shame you can't use her in the later dungeons but it'd also be strange in retrospect for her to be there against Yaldabaoth without all her issues being sorted yet. And well they probably just didn't want to redraw the anime cutscenes sadly... I liked the idea of Ren having a girl he sees outside of his phantom thief circle who are coworkers as much as friends. Actually I would've liked more Ren/Akechi/Yoshizawa, they were a really fun dynamic! There's also cut content of an Akechi/Yoshizawa Showtime that would probably have been introduced when he tells her to follow his lead. Wish we'd gotten to see that.

• Does the world know Ren is a phantom thief or just the police? Either way, still annoyed Sae insisted you sit in juvie for months after witnessing you save the world. Dunno if I should blame her specifically or if Ren's identity was already leaked by Akechi before Sae's palace infiltration, but whoever did it, now Ren gets to be stalked by feds
• Yusuke is so poor he lost cell phone service? Damn, give the man some change Haru. I never felt like the original P5 was so explicit about him being impoverished, I know there's the joke in Hawaii but that could happen to any teenager.
• Ryuji flunked 3 finals. This dude's gonna get stuck as a construction worker
• The voice recordings are... strange? Makoto is talking directly in my ear while Futaba is across the room.
• Makoto is in college... wasn't she a junior in P5? So this takes place two years later?

Suddenly remembered one more grievance. The movie makes it seem like Nebula is wrong for how she blasts Drax for being a liability to the team and has her conclude their relationship by saying "I saw the real you. You're not meant to be a destroyer. You're meant to be a dad."

But she's talking about the dude who fucking wiped that little girl out who tossed a ball at him to play. The movie made him so stupid and dangerous that i can't even accept he can succeed around kids.

When he got shot a second time during the first heist it was really shot like he might be about to die and maybe that would've been for the best. He did not have a place in this movie, at all.

Well basically I assume that sine, cosine etc can be pretty effectively be derived on a whiteboard, as well as formulas for the properties of 3d objects like spheres, but this was not how the class was taught to me. Rather, the surface area of a sphere or the volume of a cylinder is determined by a secret knowledge formula your teacher is throwing at you and you just need to accept it and memorize it. The cosine graph just does that, it's just (0,1) (1,0) hope you remember.

I never did as poorly in a class in high school as trig and clearly I'm still a little bitter lol.

Also, if you take a creative writing class you have to get your story workshopped in front of all your peers and a genius professor writer so that's really hard.

The hardest college class I took in 4 years was honors ethics & diversity in business because the professor was exactly what you're imagining from that title and assigned more reading than the rest of my classes combined as the *baseline* to participate in the course, on top of a semester long group project and an individual final. It wasn't necessarily that the material was challenging but that her standards were not realistic to meet.

I took Calc 2 in high school I mostly remember it being limits and convergent/divergent series.

Trigonometry is genuinely harder because it's rote memorization of a ton of formulas and nonsense terms like sine/cos/tan/sec. Chances are your teacher will not be competent enough to actually explain what these terms mean or why they're actually valuable, you'll just get some "soak a toe" mnemonic about which has x over y or y over x.

The way trigonometry presented is actually like hieroglyphics. For Calculus, I think the teacher is more likely to be forced to actually teach you the intuition of what is going on. But i guess if not then it'd be hell too

I dont think there has to be a "hard" math class at the level of calculus and below, a lot of instructors are just bad at instructing and reinforce a culture of believing math requires a "math gene" or something in your brain to comprehend when it's just logic.

I just finished the movie on streaming and yes, he lost his temper when his crew tried to mutiny and vaporized the room.

Rocket becomes immune to his powers due to the gravity boots apparently. It did kind of feel like a jobbing when the rest of the team appeared and started normal kicking him after he previously crushed Adam Warlock so easily. It wasn't obvious to me why he wouldn't be able to AoE nuke anymore like during the mutiny.

Ngl though during the obligatory dance sequence I couldn't help thinking about the what, 7 billion furries that got genocided earlier in the movie, however many was on that planet.

Movie was definitely saved by the last third and the drama. The comedy really failed in this movie tbh.

So the rest of the movie was really good

Maybe it's because I just watched a movie made with real sets (royal tenenbaums), but 7 minutes in I feel like all the CGI screen dressing is really noticeable. Nebula puts up a neon sign and like I'm pretty sure there's not a real thing in that shot but mocap from the nebula actress.

I was interested in starting Baki but apparently there's an absurd amount of material.
