Justice

It's funny how the left will say the right has no empathy, yet in any heinous criminal situation like this, are completely unable to comprehend putting yourself in the shoes of the victim's family and wanting the most severe punishment possible for the fucking monsters that did it.

Calls for 'justice' wants 'the most severe punishment possible for the fucking monters' invokes 'empathy'.

I guess it makes sense to you.

Kind of

Lords are for life, appointed with no public vote and are immensely corrupt

Lords can't actually create laws, they just view laws that the government made and alter them. It's basically rich old white men ensuring that no law can possibly pass without their approval.

A complete kick in the balls to democracy and something the UK should be endlessly ashamed of.
I don't know what's more shameful. The fact that we have an unelected upper chamber full of cronies, hereditary landowners, and party donors.

Or the fact they sometimes they have been the only thing that has put the brakes on some of the more disgusting pieces of Tory legislation over the past few years.

Cameron is the cowardly fucker who gave us Brexit because he was scared he would lose a few MPs to Nigel Farage.

Sunak doesn't have a lot of options when it comes to filling cabinet posts. A lot of Tory MPs are low calibre seat fillers who got elected under Boris Johnson and plan to leave at the next election (most will be voted out anyway). Of the rest, some hate his guts for stabbing Johnson in the back, some occupy the same repulsive positions as Braverman, and some are biding their time and don't want to be associated with his dying government.

The list of alternatives would not have been an impressive one. Cameron is a lot more socially liberal than most Tories, if that means anything, which it won't.

All of this is also irrelevant since I am not a US citizen and thus cannot vote which means I am not the target audience for their strategy. I know multi-verses seem to be a concept that's being used a lot in superhero media as of late. But between here and the Invincible subreddit, it's pretty weird/funny seeing people foam at the mouth this hard at this season leaning into the multi-verses.

Part of the problem is people think they're jumping on some bandwagon, when in reality they're adapting a 20 year old story where not only this already happened, but the way they handle the multi-verses is a pivotal part of the story.

I keep seeing people say they shouldn't do it because they want the show to stay grounded. The fuck is grounded about Invincible? lol
I don't dislike multiverse stories because they are unrealistic. I dislike them because they are too often messy, confusing, and a go to for writers who are out of ideas.

However, I've been told that Invincible doesn't fall onto those traps, so I'll watch with an open mind.
