Been sick for about 3 weeks. Seemed to be a cold, went away, and then caught something else at the airport on a trip.

It wasn't covid either time, but I've been really congested and gunked up. Had a light cough for a couple days. Hard to say if I caught back to back colds, RSV, or something else entirely. But no loss of taste or smell, no fever, no sore throat. Not too bad, all things considered

No. It was just really cold this year. Last year we got plenty of kids at my house.

Baldur's Gate did well because it's digital D&D, not because it's turn based. It also allows you to use the the environment in creative ways, unlike FF.

Thank GOD somebody remembers this. I felt like I was going insane. Everyone flipped to being pro-Disney when DeSantis started coming after them, after they were FORCED to take a half-hearted stand supporting LGBT.

The only things that get me to the theater these days are horror movies, or absurdities like Renfield.

I'd say it's never a bad thing when a global entertainment monopoly starts to lose their hold on popular media, might open the door for movies that aren't cooked up in a lab to become franchises.

Man, I bought a house at 26 with no degree. And I'm still not even 30, so it was fairly recent. My sister is close to doing the same, she also didn't end up with a degree. It's easy to throw up your hands and claim something is impossible without actually trying to accomplish it.

I don't know man, no offense but I'm pretty sure if you went on a date at 45 years old and told someone you live in an apartment with roommates or still live with your parents, I'm pretty sure 9/10 times you're going to get a similar reaction.

I mean, that's obviously a different circumstance. It's pretty much a horseshoe, like how acceptable is it to wear diapers. Makes sense when you're really young or really old, but it's weird for anyone without extenuating circumstances in the middle of your life.

I get that its hard, but honestly if you haven't gotten your shit together by the time you hit 40 I am a bit concerned for you.

I have some friends in their extremely early thirties who have roommates with other friends of ours to save for house down-payments, and that totally seems normal to me. But for some reason, if you have peers whose kid's are about to be off to college and you're still living with roommates in order to scrape by, it makes me kind of sad.

I quite randomly watched it when it was linked in a different CE topic last night. Couldn't say for sure why I got this impression, but it kinda felt like a tween-friendly version of Superjail. Some of the jokes were funny and I was so sure that some of the VAs sounded like big-name actors (even though they weren't).

that's kind of how i felt about it, too. it was enjoyable enough, i'm curious enough to see where it goes, and i quite like existential horror. i'm pretty sure I guessed at least some of the plot off of just the first episode, though.

Curious what people's thoughts are. Not sure I'll get super into it, but I did have some plot theories after watching the pilot. The quality is impressive, and I'm sure it will take off once they start releasing more episodes.

Dark Spaniards exist. Whether or not you consider that white doesn't really matter to me, but put me next to a Norwegian and you'll definitely see a difference in skin color lmao. I guess it depends who you ask.

As an atheist, I find I don't like atheists who make being atheist a core facet of their personalities, the same way I am uncomfortable around people who make their faith the main facet of who they are and what they talk about.

The Wii U is going to be insanely collectible in 10-20 years. Sold very poorly, but an incredible library of games. The game pad experience also cannot be replicated by emulation, so you really have to own the system.
