So they talked extensively about the Eiyuden side-game from a week ago and not at all about the main game

God of War (2018) (PS4 via PS5) (Replay)
Did hard mode this time on a new save, and my BF played more this time when last time it was just me. Glad I didn't do Give Me God of War because this is already rough at the beginning until you get enough abilities to balance things out. Got the platinum again. Still a terrific action-adventure game with excellent characters and story. Playing all the Souls games since last time didn't make it easier. They're completely different games. On a side note, the HDR color balance is broken, which was unfortunate to have coincide with a new TV that already doesn't work how we want it to.

Nah, I just saw this in a video and impulse-bought it. I may go back and play the other now.

The Procession to Calvary (PC)
Bizarre point-and-click with graphics crafted from Renaissance paintings, Monty Python-style. A female knight sets out on a mission to assassinate the monarch of a hostile state because it's her only opportunity to keep murdering now that the war is over. It's darker comedy than a lot of point-and-click fare, and just a bit edgy on religious subjects. The title is a reference to crucifixion and it er, features heavily, along with other brutality. The puzzles are pretty simple but still in the mindset of the classics of the genre. And there are a few different endings. Worth it for the weird visual style and humor, I'd say.

Apparently neither did Hayao about anime, though.

Even unofficial N64 emulation isn't perfect. I guess we can cut them some slack there. Incidentally, how is the analog stick accuracy? Can you mess with the deadzone etc if it's not good?

And $30 a year is a lot to ask for all that. Gamepass gives you a bunch of full games. PS+ even gives you some. Nintendo gives you some DLC and emulated N64 games. The emulation wasn't even good at launch. Not sure about now.

I probably would enjoy the Mario Kart expansion but I haven't played Mario Kart since it started releasing.

I've been replaying God of War '18 and the ice enemies, who often have immunity to the ice weapon, sometimes have shields made of ice. So I guess the shields resist ice, but they still function against fire attacks without melting.

So the previous ones were pre-alpha? Guess I could give it another shot.

I can confirm Soundfall is good so far. It's like the Necrodancer rhythm concept but less demanding (and not a Roguelite, thank god.)

If you have P.T. on your PS4 and care to keep it, it's the only way to still play it. It cannot be downloaded again on PS5 from what I understand.

And if you don't, that's the kind of thing you'd want a modded PS4 for.

Big's campain is top 2 worst I'd say. It's got uh, big problems.

I wonder if the PC port is broken, though, beyond obvious stuff like text not scaling at all with resolution and UI elements getting cut off by the edges of the screen. It seemed broken. The camera is so intrusively bad, and controls aren't much better. I thought Sonic had the worst campaign though, with the most random deaths and setbacks due to nonsense like the camera. Tails can fly, as janky as that feels, and the others have less to deal with in general. Fewer stages, for one thing.

It's pretty easy to tell someone else "Get to work". You could even say that Christians denoucing this is useful for mitigating the damage already.

Actually Hollow Knight with robots, but not really. It's pretty good, as your indie Metroidvanias go. I have a few complaints, but hey, I got 100% for a reason.

Alright, I haven't played it for a bit but I got a bad ending, I can't figure anything more out, and I don't feel right turning to a guide in a game like this. So maybe it's done.

I got back home a little while ago. I should be on for this.

Anyone who likes the Sonic series will say that those Dreamcast ones are good, maybe Sonic Heroes, and various sporadic newer ones. Nobody says SA is as good as SA2, but it's not treated like a black sheep either. I wasn't expecting a good game, but I wasn't expecting this bad a game.

AMATEUR HOUR! I hate to say it about a popular game like this, but I have the right to after taking the time to beat it. It isn't that hard so it's usually more funny-bad than anything, but what a disaster. I'd hate to see the non-DX version.

My opinion of Meloetta will never recover from the anime.

Wait, you don't start with DT in DMC1 because you only have the Force Edge.

You start with Devil Trigger in DMC1. You could also say that Bayonetta 2 starts you with improved versions of the powers that you only had limited access to in 1.
