I'm not used to doing this. Can I still give my bonus recommendation from having completed Arceus last month?

Ike makes sense. I think heavy jumping attacks with a big sword. Shulk has the stat-manipulation element, and if you wanted to bring in wizardry there's Robin, Sora, Hero... Seph maybe but I don't have an oversized odachi and the ability to make giant explosions. Yet.

I think this is vague enough but I played Multiversus a bit and didn't feel compelled to keep going. If this is a recent test maybe they refined it.

What character can I apply my Elden Ring playtime to? I'm thinking Shulk, maybe Cloud, but eh.

God of War 2018 and The Last of Us came to mind.

Did GoW have hype? The series popularity was way down at that point, it was a new gameplay style, and the premise probably drew a lot of "oh great another cinematic drama PS exclusive" comments.

Deemo II (Android) (Maybe?)
Well, I hit the end of the story as of right now. It says stay tuned for part 2. Like Deemo Reborn, Deemo II is a hybrid of adventure game and tap-rhythm. The world is also full of NPCs to talk with. Rhythm gameplay is about the same as before with the addition of hold notes. I still enjoy it and think I'm getting pretty good at it. It is a mobile game, for sure, but a pretty harmless one. Stamina only matters with long sessions, you don't actually need it to keep playing, and you get tons of items to restore it. There are also frequent parts of the story where it isn't consumed at all. I never got near the premium currency needed for a single paid song pack, though. I bought the "battlepass" as it includes 20 songs to unlock as you go. There are also limited-time events where you attempt to clear a selection of challenge rounds with various modifiers. These take resources, either per attempt or in 30-minute blocks. My complaints, then:
-Movement control is not good. Yeesh. I can barely make Echo walk where I want sometimes.
-Game runs bad. When you get frame drops during rhythm gameplay, it ain't fun. And the sound becomes choppy too. Maybe my phone is just out of date.
-How do you even fade mode? It's one of the event modifiers. Notes disappearing like halfway down the screen throws me off so much.

I don't like this trend of offering parts of games. But Ghost of Tsushima Legends is pretty great and I recommend it.

I wouldn't. But PS4 BC is worth more than the entire Xbox line BC as far as I'm concerned, and if you need a console, I can tell you the PS5 does that job.

I came in with no assumptions and it was okay. It's not quite a Zelda-like as a 3/4 overhead walking sim with light Zelda dungeons. The humor is also hit or miss. Very meme-heavy. And I always felt like I was fumbling with my equipment in combat. But it's fine, I gave it an hour or two and didn't regret it. The later-added battle gauntlet was fun for long enough to get its associated achievements as well.

I've already finished Arceus. Yeah, hotel wifi confirmed, sorry.

And follow-up
I have mixed feelings.
The RNG killed me at the end, specifically Distortions spawning, but it didn't take that long. It's weird how I expected Pokedex completion to take longer than catching all Pokemon but they were nearly simultaneous simply because of the 4-5 species locked behind those RNG monstrosities.
But as a reward I get to be Jacob and have a badass boss fight with God Itself. I know saying the boss fights in this are Soulslike is a bit of a stretch but that last one grasps the concept. Regardless it's a good boss fight of any type.
I also like how you don't capture Arceus but just prove yourself enough to get a construct presented to you that fights the same way. Always seemed weird to catch God in a Pokeball.

After watching season 2 of Hill House, I think I am good on Lady in the Lake. I didn't like that season.

That is a sorta- Turn of the Screw adaptation? Totally unrelated other than the allusion to Arthurian legend in the name. The Lady here is a non-supernatural victim's corpse.

Alright, so according to this Sibuna_Switch, the things to avoid are
-Resting more than briefly and advancing the time
-Leaving area
-Going into a loading transition cave.
Battling, pausing, etc. only suspends the timer. Anecdotal evidence suggests 40 minutes may not always be sufficient. but other than that it seems like the most documented rundown I've seen.

Tons of Magnetons and an alpha Magnezone in that one, yeah. I got some 'mites in the next one but this actual distortion spawning is just broken since the credits.

I stand shivering in the rain waiting idly for another distortion to spawn so I can catch a Magnemite. None spawned in the last one and everyone seems to agree that basically everything you do in actual gameplay resets the RNG to its minimum.

I'm probably dropping out of this one because I expect to be using hotel wifi at the time.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus (Switch)
Also not done with it but saw the credits yesterday or so. A solid game of a unique type. Not your typical Pokemon experience but quite engaging to me as a long-time fan. Throwing Pokeballs and running around with your creatures is great... Dealing with some less-polished aspects around RNG and lack of signposting when it comes to completion, not so much. It also has some of the text cutscenes I've least felt like clicking through in a video game, but it wasn't entirely bad as a story.

Disgaea PC (Steam)
Well that is a broken-ass port, but once the troubleshooting was done to an adequate extent, a very enjoyable SRPG. The lightness of it is what makes it fun. No permadeath or level-scaling, you just play the best you can and build characters at the speed you want. And Item World is such a great concept, just SRPG procedural map generation before the Roguelite craze, even if it does like putting enemies in places where it's actually impossible to reach or attack them sometimes.
Got a bad ending because I guess I team-killed with an AOE at least once. Oh well.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (PC)
I was waiting on actually being fully done with the game before reporting and it ended up taking quite a while. There isn't much in common with Souls and Bloodborne here. It's not even really an ARPG, which makes for one less thing to fall back on when it gets difficult. But the combat, traversal and particularly boss fights make for dazzling displays of ninjutsu. The freaky fantasy creature designs are as cool as ever, too.
