I was never good at FPS or Uncharted style games (whatever they were called back in the PS1 era) - the first part of SH was really tough, until I got the sledgehammer/fire ax thing. Though it made you stationary, timing the swings got sooooooooo much easier, and they were almost always fatal with one blow! I remember my whole experience of the game changing to a "come get some" attitude...

So my memory is total shit but I believe the explanation is Cheryl was possessed by one of the Silent Hill demons from Dahlia's cult and they needed her to complete some ritual but Harry ruins everything and escapes with a purified Cheryl.

Kinda Dahlia and her cult used her teenage psychicly attuned daughter to summon a demon. They set her on fire but the ritual did't complete - instead she projected a part of herself as a baby out of the village (either intentionally or accidentally, I'm not sure which). Harry and his wife found the baby and raised her as their own, not aware of her background/powers. When Harry and Cheryl were driving past Silent Hill, the connection between Alyssa and Cheryl flared up, pulling the town into the mist/alternate world. Playing through the game you see parts of the story (the nurse being the one that was forced to care for burned Alyssa, etc.) and stop Dahlia from completing the ritual (as Cheryl returning was the last missing part of Alyssa's power). This is why the Good plus ending has you exorcising the demon from Alyssa, killing it, and then she thanks you by giving you a baby - a new projection of her.

Statutory rape is consensual sex, that's why it's not a straight rape charge. It's when the underage party willingly has sex with the other person but because they are under the age of consent it's illegal. It's to differentiate between forceful rape. Think of it like the horny 15 year old babysitter with the hots for the young good looking dad. If she seduces him and they have sex it's illegal, at least in America, but because she willingly had sex with him, and was even the instigator, it is a charge of statutory rape because she is under the age of consent. If the dad just threw her to the ground and tore her clothes off then that would be an outright rape charge as she did not consent to that. Usually anything below about 12 or 13 is also an automatic straight rape charge as well.

That is what I mean by they will spend less time investigating statutory rape because by definition statutory rape is consensual but illegal.

I know what statutory rape is, that's why I said there'd be greater difficulty proving coercion/use of authority/taking advantage of impulsivity/etc. Your example of a babysitter is just as strange as the student "happily banging his hot teacher" example you used and then ignored. In both of us these, are you saying it's appropriate for a 14/15 year old to have sex with the much older adult? That as long as the student is happy / the babysitter flirts, we should deem it appropriate?

I had my first job at 15, and would've done so even younger if I were allowed tbh. Schooling isn't a useful use of time for everyone after a certain point, and while I did well in it, I can't say I've ever used almost anything I learnt there beyond when I was 13ish for anything more purposeful than trivia.

Though any such measure would need to be a voluntary thing. Fuck forcing anyone to get a job that young.

How exactly would we decide that a child doesn't need to be in school anymore? Based on the 13 year old's assessment of it being useful to him/her?

The biggest issue would be parents claiming their kid was raped or pressuring their kid to say it was rape even if it wasn't. You do know that America generally has the highest age of consent in the entire western world right? Most everywhere else has it lower already and their societies aren't crumbling into decay like people think will happen. It's not even 18 in the majority of America not to mention there is a federal age of 16 applying to soldiers overseas.

I honestly don't think most people here seem to understand what the age of consent or lowering it even means. People act like lowering it is the same thing as legalizing rape.

Lowering it *would* lead to more instances of rape having to be *proven", wouldn't it?

Prosecutors added, "the government also developed evidence that government records were likely concealed and removed from the storage room and that efforts were likely taken to obstruct the government's investigation."

"That the FBI, in a matter of hours, recovered twice as many documents with classification markings as the 'diligent search' that the former president's counsel and other representatives had weeks to perform calls into serious question the representations made in the June 3 certification and casts doubt on the extent of cooperation in this matter," the filing asserts.

Trump put himself in a really bad position here.
* His lawyer (I believe it was Christina Bobb) signed an affidavit in June, under penalty of perjury, that they had given any and all documents back. This was a lie. So she's now likely going to have to testify about this.
* Multiple so-far-unnamed individuals within Trump's orbit reported that there were still classified documents at Maralago
* The DoJ gets a search warrant and the FBI goes to get them.
* Trump started the conspiracy theories. At first, he said the FBI planted the documents they found. This didn't work.
* Trump then said the he declassified all the documents he had. The espionage law doesn't differentiate between whether documents are classified or declassified. It simply specifies that it's a crime to mishandle NDI (national defense information). Trump saying over and over that he declassified the documents he had at Maralago is an admission that he had them. He was absolutely not supposed to have these documents at Maralago.

Documents marked TS/SCI (Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information) can only be viewed in a SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility). A SCIF is a highly secured room in which you aren't allowed to bring in any electronics at all to view the documents they hold. Phones, computers, fitness trackers, video games, etc.

Another mystery is who the fuck gave Trump all this shit. The FBI is fingerprinting all of the documents they found to see if they can find out who handled them.

The with the red cover page at the bottom of the picture has an HCS (HUMINT Control System) marking on it, which means it's a document with information about human intelligence. That document being in Trump's position for over a year and a half possibly puts our spies around the world at risk.
