I meant to put and/or doesn't exist. Was going off of red's theory that town RB is the only protection we have other than bus.

Which if Sultan is town, he might come to that conclusion (he probably wouldn't)

He had a town read on me yesterday. Assuming that

1. I sent the kill out of the mafia team of 3
2. Doc didn't successfully protect anyone and doesn't exist
3. Sultan isn't just claiming roleblocks from the scum team

Yeah I buy hypothetical town Sultan thinking I'm surely scum here because it fits his biases but Han jumping to it based on being roleblocked n2 I don't believe.

Sultan how willing are you to think that maybe you jumped to a conclusion here and lynch Han instead

We should definitely have Han claim. Han dogpiling on this play based on him being roleblocked N2 is not a good look for him.

Also if we assume that perhaps scum didn't have the points to do become a roleblocker night 1 either red is scum or scumteam knows red doesn't have an ability somehow.

I honestly don't think that a town roleblocker doesn't protect themselves here. If Chang is going to kill you, he's going to kill you. And if you die, you can't even reveal that you roleblocked anyone, so it has no use as a scum hunting tool if you're dead.

There are 3 scum left. I think a town roleblocker doesn't just assume they stopped the kill either. Especially since we still have protection on the table.

It's just dumb. I'm being set up and people are gonna believe it because Sultan is too dumb to craft such a gambit or some crap. It's play that doesn't make sense.

Honestly the only thing I thought of when seeing plum as godfather was

1. What scumteam godfathers plum
2. Sbell as godfather even dumber theory than it was before-- though I think only plum himself was seriously humoring that.

The whole point stuff, I dunno, I guess I'm just not interested enough in it to think about what gets points. My role isn't scum hammer though, so understandable why I would care less.

I started to reread day 1 to try and get hints but I then came to the conclusion that there were enough factors in "what scumteam godfathers plum" that it wasn't a good use of energy. Maybe someone else has some theories though. Like I do think looking into who suspected plum day 1 might get you a town lean on those people. Though if memory serves plum didn't really have any heat until day 2.

Other possibility is red is scum that knows point theory is a red herring and is sending us that way for a reason.

Bought some Cloudflare calls, Disney calls, and Fubo calls at around the bottom. They have potentially bullish earnings to compound on the rate hike pump. If it dumps well I still have my Square puts so I think this is kinda safe.

For a while in the stories they were building up to a Chandra/Nissa pairing. Then in one of the books the author wrote... this... and actually thought it was good.

I've stopped reading the fiction after this book so I don't know what's come since then.

I think the most damning thing about that excerpt is there are 5 names mentioned in a passage that only needs 2 to convey its basic idea. Let's talk about Chandra and Nissa, but hey let's name drop Gideon Jura, Nicol Bolas, and Ral Zarek-- people love those guys!

So we just gonna idle for five hours for a proper day length or are we gonna murder someone.

There's a lot less to work with day 1 if Scare doesn't step in.

I mean yes I still got the lynch wrong but a lot more to go back to and I think it made the game less of a downer to read too, which does actually matter. Morale is important in mafia.

Ultimately if you're truly analytical about how to use a gladiator ability as town you're using it on the first solid scum read you have to have a town confirm and kill scum.

If you really think I'm scum after day 1, you go for it.

I think this is the same conclusion plum reaches if he actually has the role. He probably bombs chang with questions, and if Chang answers them adequately, throws down and fights me.

The fact that he was still thinking I was scum going into day 3 and the court of public opinion was swaying away from me, even less excusable to not use it then.

Also it's just awesome. Am I the only one here that would be kicking myself if I was dead and I didn't use it?

Plum as the independent is likely indistinguishable from town Plum. He would become townish by playing the game. At least when I'm the independent I generally always try to play it by scumhunting because b8 towns need the help. I would be very surprised if Plum's mindset was any different.

We should lynch Plum because he hasn't played the role like you'd expect Plum to play the role.

Why be overwhelmed by the Kingmaker gimmick when your role literally overrides the gimmick. That's the best excuse to actually scumhunt you can have-- find who you think is scum and just outright end them you are better than these lowly kings.
Plum himself said "let me do it because it's freaking awesome"-- that would be my reaction to the role too. You can bet your ass I'm not holding it through today. I'm besting someone in glorious combat day 2, day 3 at the worst. Heck I think his case on me was very lazy but he should've just blown me up day 2 rather than just saying "wellll I think Lopen is scum because blah blah power hungry"
Day 3 start gave him an excellent time to use it too-- digest those post 63 lists and just dunk on someone.
It's especially strange to me that the speedy claim of NK from Chang along with his own killing role didn't have him dive into Chang right then, hastily using his 4 hour time limit.
Why has a detail oriented guy like Plum not cleared out all the edge cases. The argument that Chris probably would have in a role PM has merit too.

Whether Chang and Plum can exist in the same setup is irrelevant. Plum has not played the role as he would had he actually had the role. Plum has not played the game as he would had he actually been town.

I know you don't like it because I was one of the guys who built the case up, but just look at the facts. You'll see it's hard to envision Plum as a gladiator here, much less town gladiator.

I'm wary that the popular second opinion is Sultan. I'm having deja vu of everyone suspecting Sbell on Day 2...

Like, I'm not saying the dude is definitively town. I just find it weird that there seems to be a consensus on him. I have a sneaking suspicion that some people are premeditatively picking out targets to make look suspicious and then trying to portray them in a scummy light, which in turn gets everyone else to put pressure and scrutinize that person.

Everyone thought Sultan was town yesterday except me. I think he just made a lot of dubious looking moves between yesterday's twilight and today. He also has been somewhat implicated due to interactions with Plum today which is probably making more of a consensus where Sbell didn't really have that going on.

That being said I don't really feel it's a consensus at the moment. But I also don't really think they're similar. Sbell was more vibe, Sultan is specifics.

It's got its cool moments and Dante is great of course but the series hadn't really found its footing yet in terms of tone. Too much serious not enough silly.

Like I don't really hate the claim in a vacuum but I was suspicious beforehand and I just approved a cop lynch yesterday as a potential stall tactic so you know yeah. It also does not exist with a vig in the setup.
