First was a guy that came up to the counter with some beer, and he was like, "I wanna ask you something, and I don't want to offend you or anything..." and while he was giving his whole warning, I was thinking, "Is he going to ask what I think he's gonna ask?" I mean, I had a feeling he was going to, but it still caught me off guard. He was like, "Are you a transgender?" And I was like, "Well, kinda, sorta, yeah." I clarified, "I've been taking hormones actually, for a little over a year, off and on." And I explained to him how ridiculously expensive that stuff is for me, and I might have digressed a little, but I had no problem talking about this sort of thing with him. He asked if they were working well for me, and I told him about the limitations hormones have, and what you're born with means a lot more, but I was still going for it anyway. I was curious though, what made him ask in the first place, and he was like, "You have kind of a masculine build." But when I asked that, I was thinking more along the lines of, "I clearly am a guy, what made you think I was trying to be a girl?" Still, I'm not too surprised to hear someone say that about my appearance... But while we were talking, he said that it was pretty cool, and respects it and all that. Then after he paid, he was giving me some final praise, telling me he congratulates me on doing this, and that it's not always easy, especially nowadays. I'm a pretty quiet person, and never have any idea what to say in any social situation since I lack any quick thinking or imagination, so I just told him thanks. And then a few hours later, this older lady came in, and she was incredibly tired and exhausted, and seemed to think she recognized me. I figured she recognized me from the other places I had worked at, but she mistook me for someone else entirely. She thought I was someone from a thrift store that she knew, and she said, "He was transitioning, or going through a transition, just like you..." or something like that, and she asked if I was doing the same. I said I was, but I didn't talk that much about the subject with her, though. Still though, that really surprises me. All of a sudden, twice in one day. :/ --- WHO MODS THE MODERATORS? |

I feel like this is probably the biggest thing for newer players. if you manage to use every single one before dying, it's almost like you have three times as many lives. after all, you respawn back at 3 bombs but any you didn't use are just totally wasted. Oh yeah... I keep forgetting to use bombs... Mostly because I think, "Well, what if there's an even more, dire situation I'll need to use this? What if I can get past this part just fine, and using a bomb is a waste?" snesmaster40 posted... I think the issue is that you're not using focus shots. Holding the shift key will make your character move slowly, which will help you dodge. I can't even get to Sakuya. ;_; And I'm definitely using focus shots, as often as I can. ArchangelBaruch posted... For Icicle Fall, I believe up to Normal you can be right in front of her since there's a safespot there. Wait, what? Really? Then it stopped a few feet away and turned towards me. It was a tiny cat, and it started walking back towards me. Normally cats hate me (and believe me, the feeling is mutual), but this one was really friendly. Here's some pics of said cat.  It was hard getting a few pics, since it kept moving around so much.  Here's my masculine hand, giving pets and scratches! I'm deathly allergic to cats, but I always try to pet them... I do a lot of dumb things...    Here's some pics of the cat looking cool in the dark lighting. She had a collar, and on it was the name Heather, so she definitely wasn't a stray. There was a phone number on her collar, but it was 10:00 PM at night, and I was worried I might end up waking up her owners or making them angry. I figured she was probably an outdoor cat anyway. But now I'm actually kind of worried... What if she had gotten out and ran away or something? What if her owners were worried about her? I'm going to feel like crap if it turns out she was lost or something and I had a chance to get her home. I didn't think anything of it at the time, but now I'm actually kinda worried. I hope Heather is okay... Oh! And when I walked down the stairs, she followed after. ^_^ It was so cute. Such an adorable, tiny cat. Normally, my hate for cats is pretty strong, but sometimes, on occasion, when a rare event like this occurs, I can't help myself. --- WHO MODS THE MODERATORS? |

Are these groups of bullets supposed to be guiding me off to the side of the stage? Because it feels like they are. Sometimes I'll try moving to the side, and then back to the middle in-between those groups of bullets, but it doesn't always work out. Safest method seems to be to just let myself get pushed away from Cirno, but I'm not sure if that's what I'm even supposed to do, or if there's some smarter way.  I had trouble with this, and would have asked about it, but I managed to figure out a way to get past it well enough by dumb luck. Just "side step" through a gap in the bullets once, then twice, and then go back the other way. Just "side step", nothing else. Cookie Bag posted... Not really, it's just a missing feature not a cheat if you consider every other game has it later on. I mean, Gundemonium Recollection doesn't let you see your hit box at all times, and I managed to 1 credit that on Normal well enough... I feel like I should be able to handle Scarlet Devil without a visible hit box as well. ;_; But yeah, I was talking with a friend tonight and he made that same arguement. Touhou 6 doesn't let you see that, but the later ones do. Maybe I'll get it... GiftedACIII posted... Already surpassing me lol. Furthest I ever got was like Flandre's 3rd last spell. Flandre is in Imperishable Night? I thought she was in Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. Also, I managed to get the most recent Touhou and tried that out for a bit, and it was pretty neat. I'm kind of bothered that my ice fairy represents Summer, though, but I like Marisa, so I guess I don't mind her repping my favorite season. Glad to see Aya as a playable character though, and Fall is fitting for her. And for anyone who's gotten far enough in the newest game, Anyway, if I can't manage to beat EoSD on Normal, I just might resort to the dirty pausing trick to get past Patchouli and her stupid goddamn stage.
