I don't think there was a single episode of Lucifer this season I was even a little disappointed in. Every episode was such a joy to watch, and I can't think of many shows like that. Literally no complaints. I'm really sad we won't be seeing it again for a while.

Oh, it was truly awful. But you don't even get how bad it is until you sit through the whole thing, because it's just a dude who wanted to do the home invasion genre but did not think about anything else.

Watched Lavender last night though. You know that story where somebody has amnesia as a result of a deeply tragic event that happens during their childhood but seeing memories and triggers from their past reveals a dark truth of what happened? You've seen Lavender then. It was fine for what it was. Just another played out idea.

I'm just saying to the people who claim that we have too much filler on Raw, but then they fill it up with an unbearably long Alexa/Bayley segment, that you can fill it up with stuff like that instead of putting it on the YouTube channel.

It would make sense that you could fit that into RAW if you had decent writers that thought that way, but instead they make giant dumb segments that suck and get nobody over and usually they go on too long.

You clearly have people with unique ideas and material. With better planning, you could use that stuff instead of your bad alternatives.

Also, I heard Brian and Dave talking about the Alexa and Bayley segment but it was so bad it didn't make YouTube. They just showed Bayley's run-in. But if they actually had Bayley's friend say she stopped being friends with Bayley because she watched Monday Night RAW that is deeply hilarious.

Well, you're kind of full of it because:

1) I was actually there and know why we did it.

2) You say 8 people were behind Pippa Mann during the race before the crashes began. There was a crash within the first five laps. So there was a lot of pace laps where Pippa was trailing behind everyone.

3) I literally went back and spot checked the first 100 laps of Indy 500 2015. Out of the racers that were still in, she was always second to last. The only person who was behind was Sato, the guy I made a post about initially to discuss him being a fucking badass racer who ended up coming back from his car issues really well, and he was always out of sync with the other racers and their laps.

4) I would look at the last 100 laps which would look similar to the first 100 laps, with the only difference being Sato passing her up entirely and leaving her in the last place position, but I can't be assed enough to do it.

Call me sexist if you want, but I know exactly why we made the joke. Feel free to make your own judgments. I'm washing my hands of this.

My main point I wanted to make: Sato is a badass driver and he's always been impressive. Props to him for winning.

Right. And I try to elaborate on why and you keep going "But nuh uh she wasn't last. She wasn't."

She was trailing behind the pack for the entirety of the race, especially at the beginning when we decided to do this. We had parts of our section (which includes women) laughing and toasting their drinks to dead last Pippa Mann also and talking to us about it. I promise if it were literally anyone else that stood out trailing behind the rest of the racers in this race for the vast majority of it, we would have just as easily made a joke out of it too.

I frankly shouldn't have to be defending this as much as I should be.

For the majority of the race (unless a racer had major car issues) she was last place. If you look at the results, she was last place out of all the cars that were still in the race. Hence, she was the last active driver.

Nitro and RAW were both pretty awful writing-wise discounting Stone Cold when they were both 3 hours long. So again, I think it's more the quality of writing than anything.

I would argue that if you had 2 hours of RAW that were good, you might have a point. But you struggled to find even half an hour of good TV on RAW on any given week.

Well, I'm not being sexist. I was just sharing an anecdote. She's the token female because she's one of two women ever in the race, and she normally doesn't do great. She did particularly awful in 2015 and we made a joke out of taking a sip when she kept chugging along in her bright pink car. So we did it again in 2016. We could have easily latched onto a dude coming in dead last for the entire race, but she was the one in last place just moseying on and stuck out. Had she done better in that race, she wouldn't have been singled out at all because we frankly wouldn't have cared.

Oh, I had the years mixed up.

2015 is the year that Sato came from dead last with issues to close to the top. Pippa came in dead last that year out of the remaining cars in the race.

2016 Sato had more issues but he had to bow out of the race early due to a wreck, but he was doing really well.

Hey man, I remember Sato from last year when I was there.

Dude had car issues and was literally dead last. He ended up doing really good and catching up when he was laps behind. He could've won it then if didn't have bad luck.

Meanwhile, we all watched as Pippa Mann, the token female driver, kept staying laps behind and barely even tried in her Susan G. Komenmobile. We would take a sip of beer every time Pippa got a lap. Good times.

Sad we didn't go this year. :(

A podcast I listen to actually talked about this.

They said that they thought there wasn't much of an advertisement for it, but then they talked to people who aren't totally into comics and comic book movies and they said "No, there's advertisements for it everywhere." They concluded that the idea is they are spending their advertisement money on people who normally wouldn't go out of their way to see it and that they give good reviews, and that the people who are totally into it and will absolutely see it anyway, and that word of mouth from those people will get fellow diehards watching it.

Honestly, I think that's totally believable.

I was barely aware there was a reboot, but then I wasn't a big fan of the original. It was alright back in the day, but I just wasn't that enthused about it.

I think the internet might be making a bigger deal out of this than there is? Idk, maybe I am wrong, but I guess I am giving him the benefit of the doubt and not immediately jumping to anything sexual in nature. I'm quite positive stuff like that exists for a lot of those sorts of fans, but I am just not convinced that HE is among them, even with there being a self-insert.

Well, I would say all you need to do is really think about it.

No, it's not immediately sexual. But this creepy weirdo said that he is so into Blossom that he wants to make a child version of himself and put him in the show to romance Blossom, and that Blossom is totally in love with him.

It's not normal. If you take away all sexuality out of it, it's still very creepy.

Oh my god, I just watched Intruder.

I'm not putting anything in spoiler tags. It's a home invasion movie. Except the whole time, you have a theory of like, four people it can be just hanging out in this girl's home. But it's super obvious which person it is. But the whole movie is just creepy dumb home invasion bullshit until he kills the girl's boyfriend and hides him. Nothing happens until literally up until the last second of the film where she suddenly realizes that THERE'S BEEN A DUDE IN HER HOUSE THE WHOLE TIME! Then there's a recap of all the hints the movie gave us.

And then guess what happens. Guess what happens.

But wait! Twenty seconds of credits later, it shows us a scene of her in this stalker's basement where he murders her and then creeps on a barista.

This movie is honestly just so baffling. It does all the home invasion stuff pretty well, especially for a genre that is so played out, but then it's just... like, negative payoff in the end. And halfway through the movie you realize "Oh, we're getting another 45 minutes of this, aren't we?" And then why is the minuscule amount of payoff we get MID-CREDITS? Like did the dude who make this seriously go "Yo, they're going to LOSE THEIR MINDS" when this dude finally reveals himself nonchalantly! And then it goes black and we hit them with the INTRUDER screen card! And then we show twenty seconds of credits... AND THEN WE COME BACK TO REALLY HIT THEM WITH IT! He locks her up in the basement and kills her! They're going to lose their minds!" I want to kick this guy in the head.

Well, apparently they had ideas to fit Prometheus into the Alien franchise, but Ridley Scott never wanted to do a prequel like that. But J.J. Abrams was like "Yo, we should do it. It would be so awesome." So Ridley Scott decided he would work on it with Abrams because he likes Abrams and thought it could be interesting.

Then Prometheus was received pretty poorly and J.J. Abrams said, "I don't want to do this anymore, sorry."

But they had already created a mess with Prometheus and Ridley Scott wanted to try and salvage it and complete it. So... this is what we get now. Ridley Scott trying to fix his own mythos because he was roped into adding more to the franchise when he didn't want to anyway.
