My back hurts from the seats, it was a kinda grimy theater especially considering it was the only IMAX screen on location. We were sitting a little close but the angle of the projection seemed slightly off.

in comparison I went to an emagine to see Oppenheimer in large picture format and that was way more comfortable. I know theaters can be very individual even among chains of course. This AMC theater was bad IMO.

Quality of dates was much better with Hinge. Met my current gf of 3 years on there. Prior I was using Bumble and Tinder and let's just say none of the dates I went on were ones I intended on making serious. Eventually switched to Hinge and immediately each one was like ... I think coffeemeetsbagel is good. I've gotten a lot of matches and met decent people there. But they changed that app late last year...I'm not getting as many matches, they're doing the flower thing (used to be free for premium accounts) with 8x a month, and they're now showing how many likes popular bagels got in the day (quite frankly it's demoralizing. But they have a boost mode that lasts for a while. It doesn't seem to be as good as late last year, despite lasting like 3 days. That might just be me..

They've definitely changed algorithms a bit for less matches and upped the price.

I do think the paid versions are worth it. At least CMB. I would avoid tinder like the plague. Sausage fest shit hole unless you are the top 10% of dudes, and you want to hook up.

As somebody who lives in Asia, its a real mix. There are certainly multi-generational households, but there are also plenty of people who live completely independently of other generations of their family. My girlfriend only sees her mum once a year at Tet.

It's pretty common for the parents to stay with the son (usually oldest).

I live in Japan and it's not uncommon for old people to live alone or be in homes. In China it is more common, but that's due to a lack of welfare or social security and an actual legal obligation to take care of your parents. My Chinese wife wants her parents to stop living with us and get their own place. It's very stressful for her to live with them, and I doubt it will get better as they get older.

Japan has one of the biggest decline birth rates, so it's no surprise there's a huge elderly population that is hard to take care of.

I'm your age and got a colonoscopy last year due to being anemic. Turns out I have Celiac. If you have a family history of cancer, especially colon--absolutely tell your doctor and get a colonoscopy

If you are involved in your kids lives and take care of itself, that won't be an issue.

If you are American and kick your kids out at 18 and not offer any financial support after, you nest believe you are gonna be out in a nursing home.

This is such a weird take. I dated someone who thought this. Sure, no one asked to born. But life is a gift. If the parents are responsible, know they are doing, and take care of their kids and involved in their lives , life is worth living.

You say birthing kids is selfish, but think of how much time and resources are spent towards that child. It's selfish if you a parent who is an abusive asshole who isn't financially stable and isn't willing to take care of the child properly.

I don't care if people have kids or not. I'm on the fence myself, but I strongly disagree that having a child is "inherently selfish."

Why that one? It isn't even that good.

It's actually pretty good. I don't eat ruffles too often, but my favorite is flaming hot l, and I finish that within 2-3 days. Whatever spices they put in there, + Spicy, + citrus, and salty was the winning combo.
