Considering the number of invisible disabilities out there, this could be a huge PR fiasco if Disney implements this poorly.
I hear each state can individually determine whether or not a person has a disability.
Now Im all for taking out those who are cheating to skip lines. I think Disney should do this in conjunction with some practices that could help people whose disabilities are sometimes perceived as invisible. Dont let someone skip a line, but maybe if its a long line a person cant stand, a give that person a space to wait while the rest of their party goes through the line. Alternatively, for single-party groups or situations where the family cant leave the person, allow them to contact Disney to have special pass to calculate wait time that the person spends in the waiting area for those unable to use a queue.

Is this the guy who was also saying Japan would defend Taiwan? If it is, that guy just wants Japan to be allowed into military combat.

Less pessimistically, if Japan is a strong ally to the USA, they probably find themselves in a position of wanting to be even more secure, as Russia becomes more aggressive.

I didnt dance, and I told my gf that I wouldnt dance because I didnt want to embarrass myself.
The venue was some bland rental place that had other proms going on in the adjacent room. My gf and I left with some friends to go to a hookah lounge.
I think some classmates got busted drinking and werent allowed to walk across the stage at graduation, but I didnt know them so I didnt think about it and even now Im not sure if that was the prom I attended or I just know I happened at some prom while I was in high school.

But the vast majority of restaurants have servers who speak English, at least in Europe. As long as you are polite, they don't mind.
Im a vegetarian, so I might need to read an ingredients list, and if they dont have that (idk each countrys laws), hear the ingredients spoken to me and know the terms for things like broth or ask what type of fat is used.

This is just an excuse. You don't actually want to travel because this is not a barrier at all. You come prepared with where you will go and don't need to be asking questions. Worst case is being at a restaurant and they don't speak English. Can still figure out enough words with my phone to point. And of course I learn some polite phrases in their language beforehand.

Also, they are making money off of you traveling. It is fine. Just don't be obnoxious.
The amount of questions Id have alone at a restaurant is enough that Id never even go to a restaurant if I cant read the menu.
Ive worked with tourists who either dont speak English or speak so little they cannot get a full understanding of what is being presented before them. I am not going to put myself in that kind of situation.

I never had the money or motivation to visit other states. I was stupid and didnt learn any other languages fluently so that I could travel abroad (admittedly, I know a non-zero amount of Spanish and could maybe visit a Spanish-speaking country and get by). Because I was broke, I just commuted to a state university for education.

I did spend half a year in another state, but I didnt really interact with the locals and mostly just hung out with people who were doing the same program as me.

I also went on vacations as a kid.

As an adult, I cannot imagine spending money traveling and pretending that doing so would be a worthwhile expenditure. I see so little cultural value in the USA that I wish to interact with. Theres like one other state Id willfully live in if I needed to move to another state, and I guess NYC. Thanks to media, NYC seems like its over-hyped.

I need to go back and finish Flux, but I was enjoying it more than Jodi Whitakers first two seasons. The writing in those was pretty awful, and thats saying something when talking about Doctor Who.

And Im not comparing that Doctor Who was political- the show frequently has been. Nothing fun was going on and three companions made the show bloated. Because Flux was down to one companion, the show felt like it could breathe more. Plus, Flux not worrying about how goofy the show generally is was another benefit imo.

I still think Nu Who peaked with the a long time ago, but like Capaldis final season, Whitakers seemed like they were finally course correcting.

I obviously don't know you, but I suspect you are being too hard on yourself. Why couldn't you make someone happy? It sounds like you are capable of enjoying things, but the feeling doesn't linger. You might understand being happy but never feel truly content? That could be because you still don't feel you are where you want to be in your life. Maybe finding someone is part of what you are missing?

I really don't know. But you have a career, you stay in shape, you go out and do things, you have friends, and that likely means that you would be worthy of someone else's time. Am I missing something here?

And the fact that you even care about the other person's well being is good.
I am a selfish and hateful individual. My natural inclination is towards antagonism. While I have a job, it is not a high-paying one. Im not in shape, I only do the bare minimum physically as I often overeat.

If I have the antisocial personality disorders I suspect, then one could say that I imitate my fellow humans behaviors with the bare minimum required to participate in our collective society.

The last time I had a gf, I was in high school. I was happy, but she became unhappy. A lot of time passed, and I accepted that I had been the problem. I had ruined one of the only good things in my life. I didnt have many relationships, but she was the only one where I think I had feelings other than just lust.

A few years later I was participating in something that was a prime place for people to hook up. My roommates were constantly getting with women. I had no tallies next to my name on the board. This was undeniable evidence that I was both ugly and had no charm.

Theres a basic, social human element required for romantic relationships. Platonic and familial relationships dont necessarily have that same stipulation attached. I have no doubts that my brain, either through poor luck of the genetic lottery, factors that influenced my fetal development that I (obviously) had no control over, or the randomness of experiences I had during my developing years, does not align with most other humans enough to warrant a romantic relationship between myself and another human.

If my suspicion that I have an undeveloped prefrontal cortex is correct, none of those matter.
Fwiw, I have been trying to work on my career after having been stuck for a long a while and though Im taking break this week, I did start going back to the gym this year. I have been trying to make more use of my free time to see friends, but scheduling your time into others free time and vice-versa isnt easy.

I say this because I dont think it would be morally right to interact with any person who I am not already affiliated with and subject that individual to myself for the selfish reason on my emotional desire.

I basically ask myself could I make this person happy? The answer is going to be no. If the answer isnt no, then that person has more red flags than I do.
To be fair, I also dont believe that I understand happiness and doubt that my brain is capable of properly processing such an emotion if its triggers did occur. I constantly consume entertainment media in different forms during my free time to compensate for the lack of this emotion. Like, I have fun at concerts, but the positive experience of them exists solely during the performance and dissipates almost immediately after.

I didnt learn how to drive in high school because I didnt expect my family to teach me how and a family member that I didnt live with told me that learning to drive wasnt necessary.

That probably had a lot of negative impacts on my life, but I never processed them much until more recently. Finally, after many, many years and much pushing I reluctantly said that I would try to learn. I think I lied there. I think I my intention may have been to evidence how awful Id be so that the matter could be forgotten about.

I didnt have the patience or heart for learning to drive. Im scared to drive. I have terrible hand-eye coordination and my motor skills are terrible in general.
I dont know how of much of my unwillingness to learn is my own lack of faith in myself as well my non-existent desire and how much is genuine fear of the hazards and harm that come from a large, moving object.

I spent maybe an hour or twos worth of time in a couple cemeteries and an empty parking lot. Having to pass parked cars in the cemetery was too much for me. I already felt that I wasnt doing anything decently, and I nearly hit the one parked car I attempted to pass.

When I was fourteen, some of my friends had started learning to drive. When I asked my family at this age, so was shot down. Its kind of funny that 14 year old me was willing to learn when a much older me doesnt even think I can learn.

This topic reminds of the time I showed a clip of The Boondocks in a college class in 2015 and a white girl said the show made her uncomfortable (one clip was when the ghost of Stinkmener possessed Tom, but I dont remember the other clip I showed).
Conservatives would want to be outraged, but I dont think much would happen honestly. Itd a discussion for a night or two on Fox News, but unless McGrudger went out his way for a long and consistent crusade against the right at every one of their points, the right would lose interest. For every political episode, there was a pop culture one that the right would only pursue if they had an extreme hate rod going and nothing else to go on about at that exact moment.

But the real reasons the current conservatives would be upset if how often they hear a certain word spoken in that show that they themselves cannot publicly walk away from if they were ever caught saying it.

If anything, The Boondocks went hard and theres some complaints that more recent black cultural media hasnt gone hard like The Boondocks has.

I could see some of the more radical left being upset, but McGrudger was pretty nuanced with the show and wasnt actually hateful when making some jokes, and the people on the left whod be mad would be people just wanting to be mad about things. Im
What Im saying is, someone on there left looking to be mad might take issue with something like Booty Warrior and Tyler Perry parody characters as homophobic or Stinkemener as ableism, but the story isnt especially hateful towards those characters. Like Booty Warrior is a bad person, but his purpose is just to be something men fear.

I do think the entire Democratic Party isnt mobilized or organized enough because red states are stripping away freedoms, liberties, and human decencies and few blue states are encoding any protections.
And even as much as I am disappointed by the the current Democratic Party, the GOP has swung too dangerously right with anti-human stances becoming the main talking point.

I am a fatalist who worries about the future. Im upset by ineffective policies and federal silence; however, I know that the alternative to Biden is far more bleak. The hellscape of Trumps first presidency would be a sequel that damns anyone who isnt one of Trumps cronies or kingmakers who are carving a way towards fascism.

Hillary Clinton took it easy in 2016, and we saw how that turned out. Biden has gained support in some groups. However, Trump has a loyal fanbase. People who may not vote at all because of their disappointment with Biden even if they despise Trump more may be why we get the hellscape of project 2024.

The point is that touching a person's property shouldn't come with a death sentence, if you have a dog that will attack somebody who comes to your door that's a dog that needs to be put down and if you train the dog to do that you should be forbidden from pet ownership.
For me I view it as can versus will. I do not care if the animal can harm other humans, so long as the owner safeguards implements safeguards against the animal. If there were safeguards that were broken, then the person who broke those safeguards willfully put themselves into peril.
I generally think that its okay to own a dangerous animal, but the animal must be controlled. Unfortunately, pitbulls are an animal who seem to have a lot of owners who cant control them. People who own lions and alligators generally dont seem to have issues like this because they usually have to know how to keep people safe from their animals.

This is the hill you are willing to die on? You think that is fucking normal to get mauled or killed for walking onto someone's property?
While a human should make a conscious decision of events, animals do not have human intelligence.
However, if a package delivery person cannot deliver the package to the property because of a domestic or pet animal, then the owner of the property or the person living on the property is at fault.
Where Ive lived, mailboxes were either attached to the front door or in front of the house. Put the animal down if it attacks, but if the owner was too stupid to realize the animal could attack and had a delivery person enter a space made unsafe by the animal, then hold the animals owner accountable too.

Yeah, but the thing is... That's still because you were taught it. And you can't assume every parent cares enough to do that. "Stupid" would be an appropriate label perhaps for a kid who is taught but disregards it; but not for a kid whose parents just failed to teach them this.

A lot of things that are considered "common sense" are things we assume everyone is taught, not things people inherently know. Especially when it comes to kids, the distinction is more important than most people think about.

Now, with that being said, that doesn't necessarily have to mean an outright ban is the only way. I wouldn't lose sleep over one (as long as existing dogs were grandfathered - I don't have any myself but taking away existing pets in that manner is just cruel), but I think "must have an enclosed yard that is hard for kids to access unauthorized, or else must keep the dog indoors unless muzzled and leashed" or something as a requirement for owning such a breed is going far enough.
And I did say that the parents should be punished.
If a parent cant teach their kids to not enter a yard without permission or at least not to enter a yard with a dog in it, then those parents deserve to be in jail for being failures.
Now exceptions for kids with intellectual disabilities could be made, but generally, the parents should be at fault. If a kid runs into the street and is hit by traffic, you dont blame a driver who was obeying the rules of the road.

While Im against an outright breed ban, I would support this. More laws enforcing responsible pet ownership need to be passed imo.
Let the local governments bleed backyard or dodgy breeders dry until the breeder can no longer profit.
Make the owners get a specific license with semi-regular check-ins from animal control to ensure the pit or other bully breed is secure and not putting anyone outside of the property at risk*.

*If someone enters the property without the owners consent and gets mauled or killed, thats the fault of the person entering. My parents were never married. My dad gave me Christmas gifts and would take me to the movies or arcade on weekends sometimes.
I was never abused by him, though as I got older and and had to go public high school and being poor, I did develop a resentment for him of not paying child support so that my mom and I could have been a little better off.

The lawyer my mom saw was actually cool and told her that shed end up paying them more than shed get out of payments from my dad. Growing up, I knew a couple peoples moms who got burned by that.
