I went my junior year. Prom itself sucks. Told myself I wouldnt go again. After prom all night is great fun. So my senior year we skipped prom, went to after prom and had fun all night, then in the morning went to breakfast then went home and had sex with my girlfriend.

I do regret going though I wouldn't say it's a huge regret or something I think about. Moreso just a waste of money at the time.

I asked a couple girls but was shot down so I forgot all about it. I kinda regret it. I wish I would've lowered my standards and asked a few of the less popular girls who were nice to me and didn't have dates either.

Yes, I went. It was pretty nice. Our prom was on one of the rear decks of a cruise ship called the Queen Mary. My date was one of my best friends at the time. So we just kind of chilled and enjoyed the view of the water.

Yes but it was boring AF. The girls and boys stayed seperated and talking to themselves. Typical Catholic high school.

The damn fools elected me prom king. I don't know whether it was because they thought I wasn't having a good time and voted for me out of sympathy (which was wrong; our prom was at the City Museum in St. Louis and I was someone who loved to climb things, so I was having a fucking blast), or if it was because I had the same first name as the prom queen's boyfriend and people got confused.

We didn't have them. My high school had occasional dances, but I never attended them. There was no such thing as a prom here. After graduation we held an after-grad party at a local park down the road.

Nope, my family did not have money to pay to join any of my school's dances

Junior/Senior proms, went to both.

Of course we kinda wanted to make a point that our class could one-up the class before us. The bar was set low because of a planning disaster they had, but we still wanted to make sure we'd have nothing close to that.

Senior prom therefore was pretty cool. Date plans fell under but I mean everyone was there to see everyone.

Nope, I hated school and even being there socially would have still been agony. Dont regret not going but regret disappointing the three girls who asked me to go. But I know I would have been so miserable it would have ruined it for them.

I had no desire to go. People were trying to set me up with this girl who had no date and I was like, who? I never spoke to that chick in my life. I'm not spending a night of cringe with someone I don't even know.

Mum made me go to prom which I was against because I was an outcast. I even said to one of my friends during it that I didnt belong there.

No, I did go to a party at an under 21 club (that had been my town's bowling alley that I went to frequently growing up so that was kind of sad) after graduation but I did not go to prom.

I didn't sweat it too much, started to regret it a couple years later, now it's so far removed from my current life I don't really think about it.

No, proms weren't a thing here when I was in high school (UK), they have them now but back then we had the occasional end of term disco, which I did go to

We don't have anything like that here. And if we did, I wouldn't have gone. Not a fan of events with lots of people.

I didn't do high school

For junior year i still wasn't over my 1st ex moving by the time it came so i didn't go. For senior year I think I had procrastinated too long on buying tickets iirc. Would have gone w/ my group of friends if I did

I went to both proms (juniors could go to the "senior" prom). Schools in my area also had cotillions, which were like joint-school proms and sophomores could go. I went to two of those.

I went to proms in middle school, when it was about hanging out and having a good time. By high school it was the expectation that you were going with the prom to be with someone, and there were no women I wanted to be with, and I wasn't in a place to attend with a man so it's all for the best that I didn't attend.

a friend I had at the time, who I also had a small crush on offered to come with me to my prom. she was about two years older than me, and brought it up out of nowhere.

the way she said it seemed kind of smug, though, like she was doing me a favor, so I turned her down. I guess her just talking about prom unprompted was a sign she was into me, but I didn't see that back then.

also, I decided just to skip it because I had a lame experience at a school dance a few years ago, and I'd heard horror stories about how expensive prom could be.

I don't really regret it, though, since most of my friends were either older or younger, and I was only close to a few people in my grade.

I had been asked each year but the girls thst asked me were not really my type. My senior year I moved and didn't know anyone so i didnt go.

Damn, I'm jealous. Would have loved to have had ours at city museum. We had ours at the Casa Loma ballroom.

My gf when I was a senior made me go because the rest of our friends were going. She paid for my rental tux and everything, so ndb I guess. I didnt want to go. My gf was older and had already graduated, so she had her own prom.
I didnt dance, and I told my gf that I wouldnt dance because I didnt want to embarrass myself.
The venue was some bland rental place that had other proms going on in the adjacent room. My gf and I left with some friends to go to a hookah lounge.
I think some classmates got busted drinking and werent allowed to walk across the stage at graduation, but I didnt know them so I didnt think about it and even now Im not sure if that was the prom I attended or I just know I happened at some prom while I was in high school.

I know of someone who went to his prom with his mom. Decades later he was arrested for having inappropriate relationships with said mother.

I've heard it was mid at best.. many left disappointed. There wasn't even a girl I was too interested in asking.

But.. I went to MORP instead! Get it?!?! Morp?? It's.. prom backwards.. hehe.. heh...

It was my only dance and it was wild. Would never forget my senior classmate grinding on a freshman. Also, tons of security guards in top of tables watching over us like a prisoner security lmao.

PS.. does anybody here know why many girls are outside the building crying?!? Never seen so many girls crying. It was literally that one scene from Harry Potter Goblet of Fire.. hahaha.

Yes. Only my senior year though. My school didn't have junior proms.
