You know, I've read about messed-up video game characters and they all look sane in comparison to real-life villains.

I've had over a dozen imaginary friends over the years and currently have seven. I often created them because I was lonely as a kid and people in school didn't want to be my friend. It started with backpacks and they each had a personality. Harry was chill, Gary was smug and Harold was your typical 90's cartoon idiot. Now I have Mary, who is a bookworm, Ophelia, who is rather meek, Cambie, who is a "cherubus", Miranda, who likes fancy hats, Violet, who is obsessed with ninjas, Tormenta, who is an athletic type, and Lurlene, who is a vain beauty.

Anyway, what say you?

Who gets to keep it? I'd rather this not go to some snobbish collector who wants it for their private collection that few people get to see...

I want Paper Mario characters first. Seeing our old pals like Vivian, Bobbery and Goombella would be better than Marth, who is just a dude who sometimes doesn't wear pants.

The Pokemon boards are filled with haters who admit they are there to crap on the games. Some of them also do the same thing on the Elden Ring boards.

Grief tends to hit me later on. I lost my grandfather on my dad's side due to COVID and I remember it took me a few days before I started to cry.

I also agree on the "stages of grief" thing someone else said. Seen too many true crime dramas where the suspicion starts with "this person isn't acting like a grieving widow". Too many people tend to act like armchair psychologists with this kind of thing, forgetting folks are not cookie-cutter humans.

Thanks. I remember playing Disgaea 1 for the first time on the DS and at first I thought they were made-up demons for the game. I looked in a dictionary and found the word "succubus", which told me that they were really a thing.

I've also had the honor of meeting two in my dreams. It's been over a year since I saw the second one but I cherish the moment that they came to see a fan of theirs.

*sigh* I really wish I wasn't born with this body. I scabbed myself up trying to pluck a rogue facial hair jutting out in an otherwise smooth place. I am already on medication for OCD and I really need to mention my hair-pulling to my doctor.

Limitation runs are boring to me. I want it to be difficult while being optimal, that even the best builds can't make the game trivial.

I mean, people make Pokemon harder by limiting themselves to a challenge run. Though The Indigo Disk itself had people with competitive teams struggle a fair bit as well.

Depends on the game. Some games it's insanely annoying or so dependent on RNG drops that it feels like an afterthought.

I feel this way about Elden Ring.
