usually nay.

I hate when you can craft items, but they're usually not as good as stuff you can find in dungeons, from enemy drops, or being able to buy from merchants.

I also don't like it when the only time the weapons/armor you can craft can only be worth while if you get some super rare material, and it's not otherwise worth it.

Crafting can be fun if the reward is something that can't be obtained otherwise, or is superior to the same items you can just find from regular exploration, but becomes less fun if the materials are a big hassle to collect.

Nay, since it's usually gated behind RNG material drops. And RNG drops are always a way to trick players into doing the same content over and over again

Depends on the game. Some games it's insanely annoying or so dependent on RNG drops that it feels like an afterthought.

Witcher 3 did it right. Crafting involved doing special quests to learn special armor blueprints, and the cost to upgrade these was significant. They also looked great. Most importantly though, the ingredients were intuitive to understand. Break down an iron piece of junk to make iron ingots. Turn that into an iron sword. Etc. Pity that game made collectable loot so pointless

I hate when crafting is impossible to understand because all the ingredients are complete nonsense. Basically every JPRG.

I also hate when the modifiers it gives you are boring and almost not even worth the effort to craft it. Like +3% critical damage. Also every jrpg.

I hate the idea that 80% of the game is locked behind hours of grinding. Dude if you want this cool weapon you have to spend 100 hours collecting this metal so you can create a refined metal to build this machine that runs on fuel that can only be collected at this region from this monster Aaaaaaaaaah!

I don't like how trailer shows cool weapons being a gimmick, but those weapons take so long to grind for that the game is already over by the time you can craft them.
