I think a few of those are kind of odd, but for the most part it boils down to a less general question, Anagram -- what kind of sixteen-year-old is your sister? Because, you know, there are fellow 24-year-olds out there who haven't herad of half of those, too.

She's a cheerleader. She once got angry at me because her art teacher made a reference to holodecks and none of her friends got it, but she did, and it was only because I'd watched TNG in the same room as her when she was sick.

Psycho_Kenshin posted...
Does she know Speed Racer from the recent (awesome) movie? If so that doesn't count for retro points.

Also I think knowing Han Solo is a Star Guy is decent.

My friend has a 19 year old girlfriend who doesn't know Terminator, uh ha and pretty much any movie, tv show, or game named. You even mentioned a couple anime, oh man, anime, that's extra points there alone.

No, I specifically asked if she'd known Speed Racer from the movie, and she didn't know there was a movie, so I have to give her that.

We just had a conversation about this.

Lite-Brite
Sonic the Hedgehog
Sega
The Odd Couple
Polly Pocket
Digimon
Dragon Ball
Sailor Moon
Han Solo - but she identified him as a "star guy"

In her defense, she did get Hot Wheels, Speed Racer, and N*Sync. Is she just weird, or are these things completely forgotten by sixteen year-olds?

If you count PW as MGS5, which by the way it's not but if you do, then don't you have to count PO as MGS4 and MGS4 becomes MGS5?

Mr. Radmore

Mr. Radmore is a Victorian scientist who created the ultimate cigar. It instantly clouds up everything within ten miles in unbreathable, blinding smoke and cannot be moved by wind or gust and will continue to exist for hours after being lit. The average person can only survive about two minutes without air, and stays conscious for much less than that. Mr. Radmore is immune to all of the effects of the ultimate cigar - including the blinding effect, somehow. He also possesses an antique Spanish rapier which he is quite skilled with. Mr. Radmore has no other abilities.

In combat, his main strategy is to immedately light his cigar and hide, waiting for his enemy to die. If they don't die or can still attack him, he will defend himself with his swordsmanship.

Statue

Statue is a petrified female human who was turned into a metal statue by an evil wizard long ago, and left fully conscious. She's been a statue so long that she forgot her entire past, and just calls herself Statue. A while ago, someone cast a spell that allows her to move, but remain a statue. Because she is no longer a biological being, Statue is immune to anything that requires body parts to be affected (poison, mental attacks, etc). She appears to be a statue of a 5'8" human woman made out of gold.

Statue possesses better-than-metal endurance, and is close to unbreakable; she can tank a full-blown artillery shell without even cracking, and it would take an entire building falling on her to even chip her. She is also virtually immune to heat-based attacks - nothing less than the surface of the sun could actually melt her. Statue's "skin" is extremely radioactive, and if she wills it, will burn through any tangible substance (she turns it off for her feet to allow her to walk normally) - but this does not affect anyone not touching her. To get around this, Statue possesses the Whip of Brilliance - this whip can extend between five feet and thirty feet (at her will), is unbreakable, and if seen by a biological being, momentarily blinds them. It also strikes through any magical construct - she can use to dispel magical attacks aimed her way, or break through enemy force fields.

The Whip of Brilliance's main use is it to grab her enemies - she is extremely adept at this - and bring them to her skin to be burned into ash. Statue has no martial arts training - any touch by her is enough to kill anything, so she doesn't need it. Statue is strong enough to demolish a house with only a few punches, or tackle a ten ton animal and knock it over - very few things can avoid being dragged by her whip, and what can't avoid being dragged, she can just drag herself to it. Statue weighs several tons herself (more than even a metal statue should weigh) - if she can grab a flying enemy, it normally can't take her into the air. As a backup weapon, Statue also carries a satchel of several dozen floating magical mines - these are orbs about five inches in diameter that she can throw to anywhere in her visual range (as she is very strong) and either land or float in the air (as she wishes). When anyone except Statue gets within thirty feet of them, they explode, disintegrating anything within fifty feet except Statue (she had them specially designed). She normally uses these against enemies that she either can't reach to burn or to restrict movement for her enemies.

If Statue absolutely needs to, she can extend the radioactivity about one hundred feet in all directions, but she will only do this against an enemy too fast to hit or one she can't otherwise defeat normally - this burns away the ground and leaves a crater under her, which is obviously a problem. Statue can also set off all of the mines in her satchel at once, which will disintegrate everything within about fifteen hundred feet in all directions, but she will only do this as a last resort.

However, Statue is not extremely mobile; she can only jump about one inch off the ground and moves slightly more slowly than average humans (this does not negatively affect her whipping skills, as she can still move her arms quickly enough to whip normally).

Jane

Jane is the silver-haired heir to the Brilliant Sanity Style, the ultimate martial art. Although she has not yet mastered it, she is still one of the most skilled martial artists in the world, to the point where she has become easily superhuman. Even with just regular martial arts, not yet using the Brilliant Sanity Style, Jane has the following powers and abilities:
- Superhuman Strength - Jane can effortlessly punch through the hull of a modern battlecruiser (or could, if the armor wasn't longer than her arm - but then, she could still do it with a running kick for the momentum), and in times of stress, her strength can triple or quadruple
- Superhuman Speed - Jane can just barely break mach 1 while running all out - her control over her arms and legs while fighting requires slower speeds, but she still move an individual limb about seventy miles per hour to attack or defend. Jane's strength and speed combined also allow her to jump extremely far and extremely high, which she uses to match flying enemies.
- Superhuman Toughness - Jane's skin is essentially unpiercable, and while she still takes damage from the impacts, her maximum endurance is around the same as said modern battlecruiser - what it would take to destroy it in blunt damage, it would take to destroy Jane

Brilliant Sanity Style allows Jane many more abilities:
- Any finger that touches an enemy, even if it does no damage and barely graces his armor or skin, can be used to disorient the target to a point where he loses all understanding of where and who he is for several minutes, which tends to make him easy prey for Jane, or become blind and deaf and numb
- A solid strike can be used to rewrite an enemy's personality for several seconds - Jane can essentially turn him into a suicidal maniac who wants to stab himself to death, or allow Jane to kill him - though if he doesn't die within about five or six seconds, he goes back to normal
- Several solid strikes in a row can be used to do the same thing to his entire mind and memory, but for hours instead of seconds - he becomes anything Jane wants him to be, including someone with no interest in fighting or with no knowledge or understanding of how to fight
- If someone touches her mind (via mind manipulation magic, psychic abilities, etc), Jane can mentally counter him - this essentially counts as a finger touching him, but if he can still manipulate her despite not knowing who he is, she's manipulated
- Even if Jane misses her target, every miss means that he will also miss her with his next attack - which means that if she intentionally misses him (as long as the attack looks like it could have hit) several times in a row, his next several attacks will also miss.
- Jane can punch an enemy and remove his ability to speak any one language he currently understands permanently. She rarely uses this ability except against mages who need to be able to utter specific words. She does not have to know the name of the language to ban him from speaking it.

Brilliant Sanity Style also allows Jane to use one more ability. Normally, she freely relies on her more basic abilities (including the other Brilliant Sanity abilities), but if necessary, against an enemy she can't defeat normally, she can use the following:
- Form of Nothingness - Jane ceases to exist in the universe she exists in, but can still affect it - in essence, this means no one can perceive her (even if they can see invisible things) unless they can see what does not exist (and very few people can). She also gains even greater strength, speed, and endurance in this form, to a point where she can break mountains with a single punch. She also gains the ability to see the invisible and attack the intangible. She can only maintain this form for thirty seconds, however.

http://www.cinemablend.com/games/Diablo-3-RMAH-Fraud-Claims-Gets-FBI-Involved-44151.html

Shortly after posting up news about one Diablo III's player issue with losing $200.00 in a region restriction policy, after depositing money into his account and trying to make a purchase in Diablo III's Real-Money Auction House, another gamer has gone the extra route of contacting the Federal Bureau of Investigation after losing $49.99 to another grey area of the Real-Money Auction House.

Basically, he sold an item on the Real-Money Auction House for $49.99, the item passes out of his possession but he claims he never received the money due to Error 0, something that has been popping up lately for RMAH trades and the cause of another incident that Forbes recently exposed.

After filing multiple tickets and calling customer support several times, he was allegedly told that trying to contact them multiple times would not expedite his situation. After two weeks of waiting with no response, the user decided to call the FBI on Blizzard, with the claim of wire fraud. According to the user who goes by the handle of Welshers, his claim isn't the first one that the FBI has received regarding Diablo III and the Real-Money Auction House, but the user doesn't clarify if there is an ongoing investigation.
