P4 is meh? That's disappointing. Honestly I'll probably watch it anyway at some point because it's one of my all-time fave games. It might go on the girlfriend queue, though, because I think she'd like the cast but wouldn't be able to get into the gameplay.

Other shows I'm considering are AKB048 and Carnival Phantasm. Fate/Zero, Nichibros, Hidamari, and maybe Akagi and Tylor will probably bump up the queue as well.

Fate/Zero and Madoka are great.

I have a little game I like to have every guy new to these ideas pull off. I posted it earlier. Whenever a woman gets out of line, look her dead in the eyes and say "**** YOU", then walk away. Woman respond to chauvinistic dominance better than anything else in the arsenal.

Now, too much of this behavior leads to misogyny, bruised skin and even more bruised egos, and deflated and inflated senses of self worth and importance. If you dominate too much you gain too much power and its no longer a relationship as much as it is subservience. But too little leads to the exact same thing, only you're her servant.

A little over-dominance every now and then keeps her a little scared and a lot turned on. Several studies show that the same men women find attractive are the same men they're afraid of.

You should watch Fate/Zero; you'd love Gilgamesh.

Charisma is for people who need other people to like them. I don't say the things I do to gain approval, I do it so that guys in my former situation know that life isn't always like this. That things can be significantly better.

It's not just about getting laid. I mean it can be if that's what you want, but for most of us it's more than that. It's about removing that constant worry and anxiety of the attracting the opposite sex from our list of things to worry and be anxious about.

It's God damn amazing what you can accomplish and get done when you're not worried about how you look, or if that girl in the desk next to you will find you attractive, or if you'll ever get married, or all that other BS men worry about. The best part: The less you care, the more nonchalant you are, the more women will be drawn to you. It's the world's greatest self fulfilling prophecy.

Doesn't Game encourage a fixation on your attractiveness to women with its emphasis on evolutionary psychology and beta males? In The Mystery Method, Mystery warns readers of having "their genes weeded mercilessly by nature" in a clear attempt at scare tactics. Neil Strauss, for whatever his memoir is worth, admitted in The Game that PUAs become obsessed with their attractiveness.

Game seems like it thrives on exploiting insecurities in men, making them feel worried about being beta males/AFCs who are unattractive to women. This insecurity is strengthened by accusations that only betas worry about this, creating a positive-feedback loop that keeps men stuck in the seduction community.

These complaints might be more applicable to commercial game (Mystery/Strauss/DeAngelo) rather than the seduction community blogosphere, though.

I sometimes wonder.

Like, as much as I don't want to be a holocaust denier or whatever, the whole thing just seems kind of "convenient".

I just feel like it's too..."movie-like", y'know? History is written by the victor as has been said in this topic, and it seems very convenient that in one of the greatest conflicts in human history, the guy who lost just so happened to also be the most evil person ever, or something. It makes the actions of the allies seem "right".

It's kind of a vague, unformed thought in my mind because I don't necessarily think Hitler didn't do these things, but the whole thing seems to have been painted like "the good guys won", and real-life is rarely ever that black-and-white.

The last few days of HF are easily the best span of days in the story imo, but I think UBW is a bit stronger overall.

I agree with many of the legislative and economic complaints in "The Misandry Bubble", but disagree on its views on biology and history:

A. The 80/40 Reproductive rule does not necessarily mean that Alpha Men hoarded women, leaving beta males without mates. It could have meant that men were more likely to die due to hunting and warfare than women. It also could have meant that sperm competition and promiscuity was rampant, as Christopher Ryan argues in Sex At Dawn. If a bunch of men gang bang a woman, for instance, only one of those men are going to impregnate her; although the rest will have mated with her, they will have failed in impregnation. Another blow against the women hoarding view is the size of human testes. In gorilla sexuality, where an alpha hoards females, the alpha does not have to worry about competing males inseminating his mates and thus has small testes. Instead, he frets over defeating mates in combat to maintain his harem, leading to large body size. Humans have much larger testes and smaller bodies than gorillas, suggesting that the hoarding view is flawed. I am willing to accept the 'wife hoarding' view due to Occam's Razor, though.

C. Wouldn't beta men be more motivated to obtain resources if they were competing with the alphas for access to mates in the author's view of primitive society? Since married men have lower testosterone, it makes sense that unmarried betas would have an edge in motivation and aggression for resources.

D. Monogamous marriage is not a universal component of successful societies. Imperial China was extremely powerful relative to Europe despite allowing concubines. The Ottoman Empire was also successful despite polygyny. Furthermore, let's not overemphasize the 'monogamy' of the West; Casanova's memoirs suggest that the aristocracy enjoyed a promiscuous sex life, as the sex lives of several European monarchs attest to.

E. "Societies that enforced monogamous marriage made sure all beta men had wives...". Some men chose celibacy or were involuntarily celibate during history even in so called 'monogamous' societies due to monasticism and mental illness.

F. "....thus unlocking productive output out of these [beta] men who in pre-modern times would have had no incentive to be productive." Tesla and Newton were both celibate. They nonetheless were more productive than most human beings who ever lived.

G. "In the past, extremely few women ever had more than one or two sexual partners in their lives, as being an unwed mother led to poverty and social ostracization...." Some hunting-gathering women have many sex partners and survive due to the primitive communism of that society.

H. Contraception has always existed, although not admittedly as advanced as it is now.

I. And yet many societies survived and thrived with polygynous marriage: see Ottoman Empire and Imperial China.

Before MRAs (Men's Rights Activists) get mainstream attention. Whether they succeed or not depends on:

1. Which MRAs the media focuses on. The movement will die fast if they emphasize the extremism of Paul Elam over Warren Farrell.

2. Whether the MRAs can expand the movement intellectually. Right now, it's dominated by right-wing libertarians; I have yet to see a left-wing MRA. If it wants to increase its appeal to all Americans and not be seen as a far-right group, the left must be drawn in.

thats because women have more freedoms now, and with more freedoms comes more frustration. I know it sounds bad, but its true.

Now i dont think all women should be forced to be some housewife or anything (or men should be forced to be a primary breadwinner), and honestly id prefer everyone to have as many opportunities as they can, but they also have to realize that you won't always succeed like your parents and dr. seuss always claimed.

As you get more educated on something, you tend to notice your flaws more and more. When i first started working out when i was 15 I felt like a badass for hitting the gym and gaining muscle. Then as i educated myself on food, workout methods, etc, i realized what i was doing wrong more than what i was doing right. It frustrated me.

The previous explanation was that men were not doing their fair share of the housework and childcare, resulting in women being burdened by both employment and domestic labor. Most studies reject this explanation, revealing that men contribute their fair share on the domestic front.

One source of the problem could be men becoming less attractive due to declining testosterone levels and BPA in water bottles. Ogi Ogas suggests that men might not be dominant enough in bed either due to the recent transition to more egalitarian relationships.

Another problem could be the rise in female obesity harming women's self-esteem.

A growing number of scientists see pornography and chronic masturbation as a problem in relationships as well, harming men's ability to feel sexually attracted to their partners.
