Goldman Sachs, the king of all evil huge investment banks, has a market cap of......$46 Billion. McDonald's has a market cap of $102 Billion. What does this mean? Well, what do you call a company that pays its employees more than its shareholders?

That would not be Christianity. Christianity is about God far more than it is about humans. In that sense it is quite different from most religions and philosophy- the question is not: "are you moral?" Rather, it is: "who is God?"

IDK, Christian humanism suggests that Christianity can also celebrate mankind.

I would have simply called it "Having Morals." Doesn't pretty much every religion preach the same general ideals, and then add their own nuances like no meat on Fridays or no pork at all or no dairy products on our meat dishes?

It really stinks that dai didn't submit much work for Chiru after Ep 6.

I wonder if he's doing more for Higanbana or if he's branching out from 07th expansion.

I really didn't think Ep 8 was so much about escapism as it was about subjectivity and the individual's right to believe in what they want to believe. This moral gives readers the freedom to define the catbox as they see fit with their respective solutions to the mystery.

If they follow the Calvinist concept of predestination, they may see it as their God given duty to convert those He has chosen to save.

I actually rewatched the Dark Tourney a couple years ago, so good!

Sensui is an awesome villain and actually pretty complex for a shounen antagonist; you should continue.

There is a big discussion going on about that in the topics on OT and I'd rather not repost the whole thing, but I'll copy what Captain Panda said earlier today since it basically sums it up.

The goats are not inherently bad. Even Ikuko/Featherine herself, who people note as Ryukishi's avatar in a lot of ways, gets lumped in with them at various points, and Will and Dlanor's fight indicates that there's a lot of mutual respect between them, and that they enjoy that battle. And heck, in the very final battle, many of the goats who fall into the abyss are described as "Beatrice's friends" who attempt to rescue their brethren. Essentially, the goats are simply "Anonymous". Some are good, some are bad, and they are simply the faceless masses of those whose curiosity has been piqued by the stories. They're the fans of the series, in all forms.

The problem is Ryuukishi accidentally focused too much on the 'bad' qualities by accident, and he admits he screwed that up and didn't make it clear enough in an interview.

But they were not in any way intended to be an insult to the fans.

Then how about presenting the Witch Hunters as voyeurs?

I didn't care since I have thick skin, but I can see some readers having a problem.

Episode 8 didn't feel climactic enough to end the series.

Ryukishi has an issue with anticlimactic endings. The same thing happened in his other series, Higurashi.

If people are disappointed about the lack of answers in Ep 8, keep in mind that Ryukishi's releasing an Umineko book called "Our Confessions" at the next Comiket.

People are speculating that it'll contain concrete answers.

I really liked Ep 8 for the record, but I can definitely understand why people would hate it. The goats were very insulting to the fanbase. I also wish that Yasu had a bigger role.

Hm, this Bane seems to be different from previous incarnations of Bane I'm familiar with. In TAS he was just a strong man pumped with chemicals that gave him big muscles. Similarly in Batman and Robin.

Here he seems to be a not particularly muscled terrorist in a gas mask?

In the comics he's also a super genius, which is what Nolan is going for here. I think he cut out the Venom.

Simply being in the constitution isn't a rational argument for something being a good idea.
