Rock/Hogan was my favourite match ever until I started watching again in an entirely different sort of way. It's still probably top 10 or 15 or something though.

If Spain and England win, the good-guy/bad-guy ratio in the semi-final will be 50/50. France and Italy both winning would probably mean I stop watching, or something close to it.
From: TimJab | #377 i'm not really worried about the jesse sorenson thing. i even think it makes sense for aries to give up the belt to try other things since he has cleared out the division (although it makes the next champ not as credible IMO). but i don't like the idea of the x-division belt being tossed in the trash every year. there's no pride to holding the belt if that's the case. the only way i like this is if the champ this time next year says "**** that, i'm proud to be the x-division champion" and the idea is never broached again. i think that is actually a pretty good storyline. gets them out of the corner they've booked themselves into with aries (in which he couldn't drop the belt to challenge for the world title without looking weak, although the three way ultimate X could have worked), elevates aries, and eventually elevates the x-division as a whole as well as whoever that champion is next year.
I see what you mean, but I actually think it's very possible they turn down the shot next year. If - at the risk of sounding repetitive - they do the storyline where the heel just wants the title in order to get a HW title shot but the face champ does his utmost to stop him, and the face wins and then turns the shot down, they're fine.
There's multiple ways they can booked this without doing anything to the title's credibility to be honest. I think you're jumping to the most negative conclusion.

From: ninkendo | #375 are we getting a Sandow/Ryder feud It's so perfect and I really hope this actually gets time and stuff sadly it probably won't, but still
From: Jakyl25 | #372 Again, you're comparing this situation to a long lost ideal.
I'm trying to be pragmatic here and compare this situation to the current reality.
But it's not "long lost" when Cody is literally all about that right now.
That said I do at least like the idea of a heel wanting to do it and a face champ trying to stop him a hell of a lot more than what Santino is doing with the US title right now, ie practically nothing. So you've got a point.
I guess in order of preference it goes:
Cody wanting to define the IC title itself, or use it to emulate greatness ("pull an Ultimate Warrior") The X division title being used as a way to get HW contendership A reign that does nothing and accomplishes nothing (ie, Kofi's midcard title reigns for the most part)

From: TimJab | #362 that's my main gripe exactly though That doesn't need to be booked to happen, though. I mean you know more about TNA so maybe they do "buck the trend" too quickly, so maybe they will do that with it next year, but there's no need for it to happen next year. Just because something bad could happen, no need to piss all over it so quickly!
From: Jakyl25 | #358 From: XIII_rocks | #354 You could even make it a carrot for people to chase in the final weeks before the Destination X buildup started. "Become X Division champ, get a shot at the world title!", though that might damage the title a bit if it's being won solely as a means to win a world title shot.
This is where "Titles are Props" is actually MEANINGFUL.
Ultimately who cares if it's just being fought over as a #1 Contender's Trophy? That's at least a LEGITIMATE REASON TO FIGHT FOR SOMETHING.
Really, what's the reason behind fighting for it now? "Because I'm under 225 pounds and I'm more likely to win it than a bigger belt?" Eh, I don't know. I feel like you want to win a title because of its prestige or whatevs. In that scenario it's openly being used as a world title bargaining chip, whereas when you're legitimately fighting for the title "because you want to win it", that's a different story.
I'd rather people fought for the title because they wanted the title rather than as some kind of trade...thing. I could see a heel trying it, though, and the face champion "defending the honour" of the title's prestige by trying to prevent him.
Like, I liked how Cody wanted to win the IC title partly to "restore it to its former glory". He has said a few times he wants to define the title and I guess I just prefer that desire to treat the title as something prestigious in itself, rather than just a stepping stone.
I am liking how SD's main events are Sheamus winning decently competitive matches. Ziggler looked alright there, just like at NWO, but yeah. Sheamus wins again in a no bulls***, one-on-one main event. It's actually kind of refreshing.
I'm happy with a world where Sheamus is the new Cena, he's very watchable.
Well obviously they won't book it like that. >_> Or he can refuse.
well, first of all it's TNA
and second of all, of course they wouldn't book that, but in kayfabe anybody can win the title 1) I guess they might, but you know, that really doesn't need to happen. And then it's just TNA ruining a good idea. It's not a good idea that's already been ruined.
2) So? In kayfabe they could but that doesn't...matter. There are countless things that can happen "in kayfabe" that don't because it would make no sense
You could even make it a carrot for people to chase in the final weeks before the Destination X buildup started. "Become X Division champ, get a shot at the world title!", though that might damage the title a bit if it's being won solely as a means to win a world title shot.

Meanwhile on Smackdown, Santino is doing some kind of kisscam segment.
Why do I love you so much WWE. Why.
Not a bad Smackdown though, overall. Kane/Bryan and Christian/ADR delivered. Ryback needs to move onto 3, he's still fun though. Usos/PTP fun. Actual tag-team feud between actual tag-teams. About to watch Ziggler/Sheamus now, should be watchable.

that might be my new favorite ridiculous storyline (although it honestly sounded pretty good up until the last thing), but it will be hard to top that feud angle and booker had where angle wanted to have sex with sharmell and cut ridiculously racist and offensive promos. that was awesome (and completely ridiculous because who would want to have sex with sharmell, especially when angle's wife was pretty hot)
Some of the music is a tiny bit disappointing, like they went too far with it (for instance they updated Kanto Champ theme AGAIN, as opposed to using the hardly-used one from the original BW. It's OK, but the BW version is much more awesome).
Most of it is amazing though.

On Smackdown match graphics, Daniel Bryan now has "YES! YES! YES!" in the background. Don't know if that's been there all the time or whatever but I enjoy that.
