anyway, my biggest issue with this is why kazarian used this info to turn on aj. like... he seemed to be on daniels side still post-reveal, which implies that he already knew. which basically means that daniels said "hey kazarian, aj is trying to help this girl through rehab. wanna kick his ass?" and kazarian was just like "HELL YEAH I HATE IT WHEN MY FRIENDS HELP PEOPLE"

OK so one of the sticking points on this storyline is why did they even want to keep the rehab secret so badly, because nobody has any idea who this woman is outside of people who know her personally who probably already knew she needed rehab and would see it as a good thing that she was getting help, rather than judging her for it. I think I have a solution:
She's pregnant, and they were worried that her kid would find out years later. Because OBVIOUSLY 10 years from now kids will be watching old episodes of Impact!

Bo Dallas: just terrible. Crappy worker, crappy look. He has SOME size though, which I always appreciate. The roster is getting too small.
Seth Rollins: That wasnt a bad vignette and his look is ok. The problem i foresee is he just looks a LOT like Punk. Which is a bad thing, because of the "one man with a robe" thing.
Damien Sandow: Man if I just...dont LOOK at the screen when hes on i like him. He looks like a pound of turds though. Thats going to hold him back I think. The robe looks cheap his hair looks greasy and that beard looks terrible. /rant over. Oh yeah the segment was otherwise good though.
The Ascension: Now HERE IS freaking tag team. Great look, great gimmick, the short haired one even has some charisma. Their in ring work is pretty menacing as well. They probably dont even need to be on NXT. They could be brought up now and bolster that tag division.
Bray Wyatt: He has a look like some of the old great hillbilly characters and throws in some of that classic Southern horror flick stuff. If he can work at all, i have high hopes for him....wait is that Husky Harris? Oh my god! I am so hype for his return then. This guys gonna be awesome.
Kidd and McGillicutty was amazing, saved the show match quality wise. Its a pity this whole angle occured on the internet. Fantastically worked match..pity it got so little heat from the crowd.
Man it was like all squashes other than that too. Between that and the worse production values...its gonna be harder to justify watching NXT.

That's my biggest problem with it all, I think. And that's saying something.

That being said, outside of that segment the show was very watchable. I kinda agree with eddv in that I prefer something offensive in the sense that it gets people talking over offensive in the sense of "wow this show is bad."
I swear I almost think this is a product of live TV and they really just didn't know what was going on. Like how could that have really been the plan? Didn't Dixie just tweet about a booking diary or something. The fact that this has SO MANY INCONSISTENCIES, on top of having the fundamental problem of "WHO IS THIS WOMAN AND WHY DO WE CARE" is just mind boggling.
Or the rewritten script thing. If Hogan says "we're not going to pay attention to that" again then we may have the greatest storyline of all time on our hands.

6 months ago, Daniels turns AJ Styles's friend Kazarian against AJ with some dark secret.
They feud for months, forever lording this secret over AJ's head.
FINALLY it's revealed. They have photographic evidence of AJ and Dixie Carter having an affair! AJ's status as the golden boy comes out as potentially due to their relationship! Scandal!
They act incredibly guilty for months afterwards, as Daniels reveals more evidence: a scandalous phone call, and a video of them walking hand in hand together into a hotel room.
It even gets so bad that Dixie's husband PUNCHES AJ!
FINALLY tonight they decide to reveal the truth.
THEN they decide not to!
THEN they decide to!
THEN they decide not to!
THEN some pregnant lady who we've never seen before comes out, introduces herself as an addict, and says that AJ and Dixie were not having an affair, they were covering for her rehab!
Daniels FLIPS OUT and attacks and AJ fends him off as Tenay proclaims to the heavens that AJ is redeemed! HALLELUJAH!

that might be my new favorite ridiculous storyline (although it honestly sounded pretty good up until the last thing), but it will be hard to top that feud angle and booker had where angle wanted to have sex with sharmell and cut ridiculously racist and offensive promos. that was awesome (and completely ridiculous because who would want to have sex with sharmell, especially when angle's wife was pretty hot)
Last night was an outburst so today let's be positive.
The resolution to the Aries title conundrum was INCREDIBLE and one of the most productively creative things I've seen in recent memory. Two titles both elevated in one fell swoop and so many boundless possibilities for storylines.

Because of his 10 month dominance of the X-Division, Hogan offered Aries a shot at Roode's title if he would vacate the X-Division Title to get it.
Aries came back that he would do it on one condition: that every year come Destination X, whomever the X-Division Champion is at that time can have the same offer.
And then Roode came out and cut the promo of the night to hype the match and run down Aries and they brawled and it felt more important than any WWE match since Cena/Lesnar.
All in all it showed how much the World Title meant to Aries, and now it makes the hunt for the X-Division Title legitimately meaningful, ESPECIALLY come late spring/early summer.

hmm, does it really though? aries is just tossing it to get a world title shot, when there was a time when the x-division title meant as much or even more than the world title, and that was when TNA still had the most prestigious world title in history (technically). it kind of makes the x-division title more like ROH's old #1 contenders trophy. to me, this idea makes more sense with a belt like the intercontinental title, where winning it is supposed to be the last stepping stone to going after the wwe championship (at least it used to be). the x-division is supposed to be it's own thing. i approve of aries getting a world title shot obviously, but i don't think i can agree with you here. i don't like the idea of the the x-division title getting vacated every year and there's a strong possibility that whoever is x-division champ at that arbitrary time every year won't be world title worthy. aries deserves a shot because he has dominated the x-division for a year, what if jesse sorenson wins the x-division title 2 weeks before destination x next year? are you just gonna have a year long reign every year with nobody ever going over the champion?
