I could suggest some video games to play, some books available online to read, or I could even have you contribute to a short story if you enjoy typing so much.

When your goal is not to be the worst thing on the board generally you don't succeed by too much.

"Having stupid arguments" is not something I need to do to keep myself occupied or something I do often, I just do it occasionally

And It's not like I flood with the board with stupid arguments - if LameJokeAlt makes a topic and I start a serious argument with him, it's incredibly easy to, you know, not read the topic. Again, I don't have the slightest clue why this bothers people here so much.
Because it's weird seeing otherwise smart people (or at least smart enough to know they're being had) continue to feed them. Like, if it's somebody obviously stupid being trolled it's less odd.

To add on to that, Jak, when I was a kid I hated heel Austin. In hindsight he did a great job with it, imo. Ironically I loved heel Y2J (to the point I almost wanted him to beat The Rock at Vengeance) and I hated people like the Right 2 Censor for being so constantly annoying. I don't know if it's just random taste or if there's a correlation but even now, looking back, I consider heel Y2J awesome. I love his promo after winning the Undisputed Title even today. But it wasn't despicable.

My instinct when I see Bryan being awesome is to laugh and cheer, though.

I know he's not really doing it. It's not pantomime, either. I just appreciate someone being that much of a douche. The only time I wouldn't be tempted to cheer him is when he screamed at AJ after WM and even then it was more "uncomfortable" to watch than boo-worthy.

This is, again, why Jericho was so amazing during the feud with Punk. He became so irredeemably awful that it'd be straight-up weird to cheer anything he did. Michael Cole can actually accomplish this when he's on the mic (rather than on commentary) as well. I remember a segment after Bryan lost that cage match with Henry for the WHC where he was being such a godless douche about the whole thing. It was really well done.

Basically, heels need to be less "awesome" (and this isn't a dig at the Miz) and more "despicable". Cody Rhodes doing an amazing impersonation of the Orton pose is "awesome". Dolph faking a suicide dive and stopping right at the end to flick his hair grease is "awesome". Daniel Bryan's self-promoting and cartoonish "question time with Daniel Bryan" sections are "awesome". It's funny, amusing, entertaining - but it doesn't make me want to see him get his ass kicked by a face.

also Infernape is possibly better than Snorlax going purely on winning record, tbh. Snorlax is awesome but Infernape builds up a quality record over the space of just one saga.

Eh they're pretty different. Silver definitely has a more definitive character arc, which is pretty rare in Pokemon.

Pretty terrible given what was there in the top 50-ish. Losing Gengar for literally Marshtomp was a colossal waste of time, and the fact that that was Gengar's third match in a row (having knocked out two awesome ones just before it, Ampharos and something else) made it even worse.

Happy to see Krok and Sandile make it but they're both totally obsoleted by Krookodile, so them being there without Krook makes it kind of awful. The same in many ways goes for the trio of water starters - Dewott over Samurott in particular. Can't complain about Zapdos or Mence or Lugia, and I like Growlithe and Arcanine about equally.

Then of course there was Zard's inevitable defeat to a Pokemon several tiers below it, a Pokemon that absolutely could never and can never hope to stand up to it in terms of quality (and I LIKE Gliscor, but let's be real here). That has happened in every game so far so it wasn't entirely unexpected but it's still totally dumb. The worst thing here was really that everyone else in the chat wanted Zard and then GBA was just like "nope". So I guess THAT was unexpected. But yeah, it always falls to the wrong person, be it Karo or GBA or whoever.

Zoroark movie came out in the middle of the league in Japan, yeah - I distinctly remember it. Must have had a different schedule in the US.

Oh yes those were some good matches. The Career vs. Title match on Ruin was pretty good as I recall, plus it had cool high stakes for a TV match.

We have put on a selection of great matches Nick

However because of the terrible booking Tom USED to be guilty of before he saw the light, they had no buildup, and thus not a huge amount of payoff! I was tempted to put our 3-on-2 handicap match with Boko Utd on there, though, but with me already having a match on the list I thought it'd be a bit selfish.

(Also I might consider the Smash Bros. match just because hilarious)

btw, SHOCKER OF THE YEAR candidates would be the literal Bear winning the Melee Mayhem title, JONA winning the Rumble and... others.

I have other plans for the Lethal Lottery format next year though. In fact we could do with more multi-day PPVs (I think KotB could be one, tbh).

I would say eaed/War and RL5/Bear are the frontrunners for feud of the year.

In terms of MotY I would say the main contenders are:

eddv d. XIII, Tom, Haguile at Mania
Nee d. ExTha at Mania
eaed d. War in a Lethal Ironman Match (this was basically guaranteed greatness even if the execution was ever so slightly off)

The judges are Mr. Contesta, Mr. Sukizo, three Nurse Joys, and mother****ing Fantina. So I guess someone really liked Fantina and insisted on putting her in as many episodes as possible, because, like, Wattson? Didn’t get this much attention by the writers.

Fantina in the japanese version of the final grand festival match is f***ing hilarious. You know how she speaks French? In Japanese she speaks English, and oh good lord when Piplup/Togekiss launch their final attack she does this absolutely hilarious and amazing Engrish "OH MY GODDd!!"

Well I'm hyped.

But not too hyped yet because it really depends what role he plays. I would be interested particularly in an adolescent Snake. We've basically always gotten "experienced Snake" or "no Snake at all" (with the exception of the first Metal Gear game which hardly "counts") so I'd be interested to see new things done with him
