My almost 2 year old was fighting his sleep extra hard tonight for 2 hours before falling asleep just before 10PM. Around 11PM, he woke up screaming in a way that I have never heard him scream. My wife tried to calm him down but she told me we had to take him to the ER as he might have had a few seizures. We are both trying to not panic as we await a room for him. It is especially hard as he spent 9 days in the hospital when he was a month old. --- [This Signature Intentionally Left Blank] ... Copied to Clipboard!

fwiw, seizures aren't rare when it comes to babies/little kids. my cousins (a man and woman now), for example, would sometimes have seizures when they were toddlers, and their mom would just strip them to their underwear to help cool them, I guess. but still, it's still best to have things checked. --- Don't you agree, Zach? https://streamable.com/ueacaz ... I can't imagine how fucking terrifying that had to be, I'm glad it turned out fairly well. Cuticrusader09 posted... 4 hours is actually a short time for the ER.I've managed that kind of wait time at an ER exactly once. I came in while detoxing from booze, my heart rate was around 190+ and my BP was like 200/140 or something ridiculous. I walked in, did triage, and had a bed within ten minutes. Which basically means I was more or less about to die. DrizztLink posted... I can't imagine how fucking terrifying that had to be, I'm glad it turned out fairly well.Heart rate/rhythm issues are the best things to have when showing up at an ER. The triage nurses do not fuck around with that. For example, the first time I had this happen to me it was way late at night, so I arrived at a mostly deserted ER with mild chest discomfort. It was remarkable seeing the system leap into action once it was clear my heart rate was ridiculous (well over 200 bpm). --- "The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears.
