I feel like of all the deadly sins, Lust is kind of middle of the road for associating with Patrick Bateman. I read pretty much anything sexual or desire-related from him as an attempt to soothe or build his own fragile self-identity, moreso a product of envy or even pride (want because he desires to be an ideal he cannot achieve) than lust/desire in and of itself. Honestly though, I could see a compelling argument for him belonging to all of these categories, even if he's definitely not a Rushmore for Sloth or Gluttony. --- Perhaps the golden rock was inside us all along. ...
