Welcome to Rank the Street Fighter characters where you submit to me a ranked list of Street Fighter Characters from those listed below. I will compile the results, and we'll see how everyone ranks.

Rules:

1. Please try to use the format below OR submit a spreadsheet to me with the numbers next to their name. Feel free to use pastebin as well. PLEASE PM ME THESE LISTS DO NOT SUBMIT IN THIS TOPIC
2. You do NOT have to rank every character on the list. Just the ones you feel comfortable ranking. Leaving a character off a list will not do much harm to them unless the majority of people do not rank them.
3. Ranking a character lower hurts them more than not ranking them at all.
4. If you want to make changes after you've submitted your list, please post the entire list again unless you're switching just two characters
5. If you want to do write-ups for any characters, feel free to submit them to me. I will include any and all that I receive.
6. Lists are due Sunday August 17th, 2025 at 5:00 PM PT. If you need an extension, please ask.
7. Please do not use a Period after your number ranking. This makes it easier for me to tally. Also please use the names as listed below.
8. Please submit to me the lists via pm.

FAQ:

Q: There's a character I want to rank that isn't on the list, can I?
A: Yes! But you might want to ask me first if they will count.

Q: If I submit a list with fewer ranks, will my list be worth less than someone who lists all the characters?
A: No. As long as your list isn't too small, your list will have similar weight as any other list.

Q: I've only ever played one Street Fighter game. Can I still submit a ranking?
A: Absolutely!

Q: What happens if i list an ineligible character?
A: I delete them from the list, and move everything else up one spot.

Q: How did you decide what characters were on the list?
A: We had a topic to discuss it.

Q: Do you want us to post them here or...?
A: Please PM me. You can submit a spreadsheet, a pastebin or something like that.

Q: Why shouldn't we use periods next to numbers?
A: Because some characters use periods in their name, which makes pasting the list into a spreadsheet harder.

I know people said they wanted to eventually do Fire Emblem, but FE is way too big. But we could always do Fire Emblem Three houses on its own if people were interested. Was also thinking of Stardew Valley, but I'm not sure how many have played it.

I've done a preliminary ranking, but I'm doing to take a bit more time to think about it before I submit. I did move some characters around as I was ranking, with one even going up around 30 places, so I want to make sure I won't be changing my mind.

If we do write-ups, do we have to do them for everyone or can we do them for some characters and not others?

You can do select ones if you like. Don't have to do all of them

This is one I feel I'm not sure who could end up first. I've played a bit of street fighter, but haven't really kept up with the fandom.

I have an idea of who wins among the fanbase but here I have no idea.

Yeah, I have an idea what the top 5 or so would be among the general fanbase, but B8 is a little different. It's not going to be like Ace Attorney where the top 3 was basically set in stone.

I think I might actually participate in this one. There's 81 characters I feel familiar enough with to rank, seems like a reasonable enough number.

If you want, sure. A lot of people take design into consideration for how much they like a character.

Finally started doing the rankings. I went through the list and picked out some of my favorite characters (mostly those I've mained or dabbled with) as well as the ones that provoked enough of a reaction to go to the bottom of the list. Still need to do the middle, which is probably the hardest part.

I didn't do lists for the Final Fantasy and Ace Attorney rankings, in part because a lot are from different games and it's hard to rank them. But for Street Fighter, I can try to at least try to quantify how much I like/dislike using them or fighting against them, or watching others.

and i'm assuming that when you say "numbers next to name" it's list of characters and then their ranking in the next column?
