The Steel Samurai is a fictional character in the world of Phoenix Wright, played by Will Powers. Miles Edgeworth is secretly a huge fan (For once Wright is wrong about him not being a fan). He's also played by Larry Butz in the stage adaptation. You have to admit his theme is pretty awesome. He'd probably have ranked a bit higher if more people ranked him. But I think most people wanted to leave off the fictional characters within the already fictional universe.

Azura Summers was an Orca Trainer who tragically died. We actually do get to see video of her at least, which is more than you can say of a lot of victims. Her death was even more tragic because it was due to her heart condition. And then it leads to her boyfriend Marlon seeking revenge against the Orca. Which becomes even more tragic when it leads to another death. A bit better communication on her part, and the case could have been avoided. But then we wouldn't have met them, would we?

Winston Payne's evil brother. He's worse than his brother becuase he's happy to get Phoenix Wright killed for revenge. Also he comes after Winston, and people will always prefer the original to the imitation. He's much younger than his brother, but looks just like him. Really the only thing that seems to set them apart is that Gaspen is much more vengeful. I guess it was also an excuse to give Winston's model his hair back. At least for a little while. But I feel like the gimmick gets kind of old fast. Even Auchi is more popular than Gaspen.

Ted Tonate is a bomb expert working for the police. As a witness, he's pretty decent. Especially the way he plays with his practice bomb. He also appears later in the same game, which doesn't happen very often in ace attorney (Apollo Justice excluded). The fact that he didn't set the bomb is pretty interesting. Maybe not the best tutorial culprit, but not the worst either.

Wife of the President of the Altamont Gas company. And strangely enough juror in the second trial of Soseki Natsume which had a LOT to do with the Altamont Gas Company. She's also a witness in the same trial, which was definitely unique. Being a named juror definitely goes further than being an unnamed one.

One of the few victims you meet before they die. Turner Grey is a bit of an asshole victim, but that helps him stand out a bit. He also didn't like the TV weather girl. Still don't get why he thought having a spirit sign a confession would work after DL-6. Thought he was going to be the client when I first met him.

Also looking at my list, the highest ranked character for me who's already out is Spark Brushel (91st), followed by the Body Double at 92nd. Everyone else from my top 100 is still in, I think.

My lowest ranked character still in is 15 spots from the bottom and I'm kinda surprised they haven't dropped yet.

For some reason Filch's "stealing animation" is very memorable and very aggravating simultaneously. I hated that little turd.

Aido's father. A soldier who was dining at the restaurant where the murder occurred. And like Filch before him, he's also a thief. He likes to use war terminology, and can be seen saluting a lot (along with his son, Aido). He also apparently doesn't use cutlery. As far as witnesses go, he's not too major of a witness. Not great ,but not terrible either. Plus his kid is kind of cute. So he's got that going for him at least.

She's whatever, but there's a gag where one time after she yells SIIIIIIR, the game simulates tinnitus, which made me laugh pretty good. - MrSmartGuy

Hilda is the director of Hertz Hospital. She doesn't speak much, instead letting her granddaughter speak for her. She's also done a couple of autopsies. And she was blackmailed into giving a fake autopsy for the death of Artie Frost. She's partly responsible for the black mark on Von Karma's record. She's mean to her granddaughter sometimes.

Ellen Wyatt is one of Phoenix Wright's clients, introduced to her by Larry Butz. She's also married to Sorrin Sprocket. I don't know why but I seem to recall liking her for some reason. But it's been a while since i've played the case and now I can't remember why. She's very kind, and expressive. She was the maid before she married Sorrin.

i really like ellen. i think its basically the main saving grace of 6-dlc (which is not great but not nearly as bad as the hate for it)

He has antegrade amnesia as a result of an accident, and as a result forgets everything he knew the previous day. He ended up keeping a diary of events to help him remember. He and Ellen have not one, not two, but three wedding ceremonies! He bravely saved Ellen from being killed in a plot by Nichody and Gloomsbury.

A Prosecution Attorney that never got to face Phoenix Wright. Almost a disappointment. He's kind of a douche. He and Buddy Faith were partners. He's also the first culprit in Ace Attorney Investigations. Though I feel like he's pretty obvious. He also was working with the smuggling ring, and Ernest Amano. His pun is obviously Sportsman, though I feel Portman would have worked just as well. And is an actual last name.

Can't really talk about her without spoiler tags. Mimi Miney's twin sister. The one who is dead, and who Mimi Miney is pretending to be. So not the case 2 culprit of Justice for All. The sister we don't really get to meet. Still pretty popular for a character you never meet.

Pink Princess is a character from Steel Samurai. The character was created by Sal Manella and inspired by Maya Fey. Wendy Oldbag replaced her actress for a show at one point. She's normally played by Will Powers for the TV show. Somehow I get the feeling that would be called 'woke' today.

Evie Vigil is a juror in the Albert Harebrayne Case, and then plays a very important role in the next place as well when she hires Sholmes to find her husband. I think her love for her husband might be the strongest in the series. She forgives him even after he lied to her for so many years. And even visits him in prison.

She's surprisingly competent as a juror, and is quite logical. Case G2-3 primarily works because the jury takes a proper backseat and only interjects themselves when it actually does seem pretty clear that Harebrayne is guilty without room for doubt, and Evie is a strong reason for that. Also, she's just a nice, loving wife, who knows her husband well enough (or at least thinks she does), to come to Sherlock after a single day of him being missing. - MrSmartGuy

Barry Caidin is the Governor at Barclay Prison where The Professor was held. He's a bit racist, but also seems to respect Yujin Mikotoba. As part of the conspiracy, he's all in for Queen and Country. It doesn't bother him that he made Daley Vigil suicidal. He also has a very strong Scottish accent. Also it took me until JUST now to get the pun in his name. It's kind of clever.

I'm surprised this hitman isn't more well liked given that he's kind of a rival to Shelly deKiller. Surprisingly, he ranks below his dog. Or maybe unsurprisingly. Maybe I just don't know ace attorney opinions very well. I also like that he breaks out of prison, and saves Simeon from deKiller, then turns himself back in.

Bodhidharma Kanis is a professional assassin residing in the jail in AAI2-2. He is always accompanied by his dog, Helmut. His creepy thing is bells. He has a degree of professional respect for Shelly De Killer, and their interactions at the end of the game are well done. That being said, I think hes a bit of a try-hard. Doesnt feel very Ace Attorney to me. - Colliding

I ranked Kanis low (but not the lowest) because the entire assassin subplot of that game somehow managed to be boring

Evie's kind of the perfect example of a juror. Good design and comes back as a later character for a pretty interesting scene. Nice name pun too.

Kanis is weird. I like his role in the game, but I don't really like him as a character or the fact that he has this "badass" untouchable aura around him or the mythos around the assassins in general.

It's interesting that Hilda dropped, but not Florence. I guess Florence does most of the speaking for those two, but I just associated them as the same.

I think 2 remain from my bottom 25 (the 2 that were still remaining from my bottom 10).

Most of my bottom 10 is still in, but I mostly only ranked original trilogy chars with a few exceptions, and they are more notable than most of the people that have been eliminated so far so I guess it makes sense

Still waiting on three of my bottom 10, though. I expected two of them to be total outliers, but was hoping the third wouldn't be. I was apparently wrong.
