I haven't played I or XVI and merely went for the spiciest option! Also I've saved Garland a few times now at round's end

it's even funnier when you consider the CIII debut class included Beatrix, Cid H, Freya, Red XIII, and Zell

Palom's entire competition was Dr. Cid, Emperor Gestahl, Jecht, and Rubicante (5/10 slots were designated for returners by then iirc), but also... he got 5th?????

There are like five characters across all of Final Fantasy that I actively dislike and four of them are bratty kids I want to punch in the face.

Dr. Cid and Jecht alone are much better Porom's competition (unless there was some character that's actually good you forgot to mention)

every CIII debut I mentioned has better STATS than every CIX debut

Alright I'm only able to come back to this now

I was driving to stay at a friend's place during the round and for hour 3 I was walking into the building, I tried to post my Torgal save but my connection was changing over to the wifi and my page didn't want to load. Then the wifi didn't want to work so I turned it off and reposted the save, thus when my post went through. But my first attempt posting was before andy's save, so I'm actually pretty upset about this. Really sucks he had to go out this way.

In better news I'm having a fun time at my friend's at least!

My money is on 4. 5. or 6.

Clive also went into that rush with 0 (dang did XVI fall off that hard?), Vivi is a two time champion that has yet to have a bottom half finish so could go the way of Auron in that everyone assumes someone else will save him only for no one to actually do so, and Yuna's support is inconsistent. All it takes is one bad day for her and the STAY AWAY FROM THE SUMMONER vultures will circle her.

8. and 10. aren't going anywhere for a while, 7 has consistent support but she's not making it back to the top ten barring a miracle, and 2. is lucky as hell.

I think Clive will benefit a bit from Torgal going out.

Also Vivi isn't going out anytime soon. He's usually hanging around near the end, but someone always makes sure he's taken care of. This isn't an Auron situation where they assume someone else will do it.

This is not a "life imitates art" scenario, I admit

Vivi went out in 64th that one time when was that

I must have mentally blocked that one. Is it possible Vivi had never once finished in the bottom half prior to that?

It is indeed Vivi's only bottom half finish

I forget what I was doing the year Vivi got that bottom half placement but I was definitely busy with some event/traveling

Even Vivi bottoms every once in a while

Oh actually that was the year before I started participating so there we go, makes more sense

The only serious characters with top half streaks since they got in are Cecil, Lightning, and Layle

actually maybe Ktjn is 4th at this point unless we are counting people like Squall who have gotten it a lot but had a bottom half in old stats

Vivi's bottom half finish was immediately followed by his second win, so bear that in mind, repeat haters!

His bottom half finish was also in the same contest as an FFVII vs. FFVIII finals, so I'm willing to take the risk
