"Lighthearted, mythic, science-fantasy" makes me feel like that's where they're headed. It's this style that evokes the feel of cheap p2w mobile games. Bouncy, plastic-y, pristine- no dirt or scuffs on anything, caricature proportions, no sense of existing in an actual fictional setting, hyper trope-oriented. Clash Royale, Stormgate, Keyforge, can't think of other notable examples right now. Anyway, I'm probably wrong. Excited to see what they make. The concept of a game where people are socializing in lobbies between activities all day seems outdated for the most part, but I guess some of the devs worked on Roblox so they made it happen once before. --- You did indeed stab me in the back.
