Best Buy still says coming soon and Walmart captchas are constant and mostly not working.

In the Target app I managed to get 1 into my cart but can't check out. On the Wal-Mart website it says I'm in line

Target is giving me an error trying to add it to cart - my partner made it through all the way to checkout but the final checkout button is returning an error and she can't get through. So close but so far!

Yeah, I'm not staying up all night for this shit. Giving it 5 more minutes.

The difference between the US and Europe for Nintendo stuff is just staggering. People were able to casually pre-order the Switch 2 hours after it went live over there a few weeks ago.

I remember when Switch 1 pre-orders went up I had 0 trouble.

I can't imagine I'm gonna get anywhere at Walmart if I just now joined the line.

Nope. I joined like 10 minutes ago and it's already telling me there's little chance there will be any left when it gets to me.

I bought the Switch maybe a year after launch (when Mario Odyssey came out) and it was definitely a "walk into a store and buy one" situation.

Mine went through Target, but I am waiting to see if it gets cancelled.

Mine went through Target and was immediately canceled.

My partner made it through Target checkout, got confirmation and then immediately received an email saying her order was cancelled, so I guess that's just a thing that's happening. All that false hope and excitement hurts!

I'm out. Time to get some sleep. I'll check in a few hours and maybe I'll manage to be lucky.

update: i just got the target email about the order... after the one that said it was cancelled???

I remember getting the early Amazon URL link for the PS5 before it launched and refreshing the page nonstop, and when it finally popped up it was a big blank white screen that just had the buy now button, the name, no pictures at all.

I still can't believe that order went through.

Tried placing the order a few times from Target with no luck. Got a fraud email from my credit card showing the purchase price, but the order does not appear to have gone through.

Walmart is continually trying to verify if I am human....I have no more patience for this. Off to bed!

I made it through the line on Wal-mart and got to order! Still in line at Best Buy, debating whether to buy one for friends now if I get through there.

Target is sold out.

But Target can be known to have stuff go in-and-out of stock.

This is going to be a nightmare. I predict this will be WAY worse than PS5.

Not worth losing anymore sleep over. I'm signed up for the Nintendo lottery, and if that doesn't pan out, I'll get it when I get it.

Might have just managed to nab one from Best Buy - my partner is inexplicably having WAY better luck getting through this shit than I am. After all this craziness we're not going to get truly hyped until we wake up tomorrow and still don't have a cancellation order or w/e
