Probably unpopular as heck opinion but I appreciate how hard stealing is in FFIX because the game does a stellar job of making it feel worthwhile rewards-wise and if it was as easy to pull off as it is in most of the series it would just be "remember to hit this one button at some point in the fight" a la drawing a Guardian Force in VIII.
