Robbie Rotten was once the man who encouraged LazyTown's behavior into becoming lazy before Sportacus and Stephanie Splitz changed it to become healthy. Being extremely lazy, Robbie naturally opposes their attempts to spread a healthy influence to the people of Lazytown and employs various schemes to discredit healthy living and run Sportacus out of Lazytown in every episode, although his plans are always foiled in the end.

I was also around that age and caught the first episode on tv and thought it was super weird. I watched a few other episodes but didn't really like it. Robbie was definitely the most memorable part though.
