Remember, State of Plays are always bad. This will have at most one decent game.

I don't recall State of Plays having a great track record but anytime there's a presentation with a bunch of stuff I find interesting there will always be people calling it shockingly terrible.

Looking at a previous state of play back in september there were a lot of things shown I was interested in but a lot of it is updates to already existing games

Finally getting that Bloodborne remaster announcement.

Within the last few weeks they've had a multi day PSN outage and verified they've cancelled over 15 games (not that anyone cares about all that live service schlock).

So one would think they'd try and come out swinging here with something big.

But I predict the stinger will be some Yotei footage, and nothing else of note.

I actually think Death Stranding 2 was predicted to release around the summer? It should be a lock to be in this in some form

The God of War one was the most well-executed of those already, I believe. R&C was not, and I wouldn't turn down a new remaster.

Coming up to 2 years since RE4 and 4 years since the last mainline game. Surely we're due another teaser for whatever the RE team are cooking up next.

Give me FF13 trilogy remaster

^ the overdueness of that is absurd, yeah I know it's all on PC nowadays but for those of us with old and/or not-built-for-gaming PCs

...I had to buy a used copy of Lightning Returns to replay it last year since I somehow misplayed my original copy. Still holds up!

.........only trilogy more overdue is Xenosaga's which I also replayed last year, but can something really be called 'overdue' if it's never going to happen... yet the faintest, most miscroscopic hope will always endure...

FFXIII trilogy needs to be heavily modded to look/run the way you'd want it to on PC so even there a remaster trilogy would be pretty cool. (FFXIII especially looks drop dead gorgeous once you do put in that elbow grease though so the remasters would have a lot to live up to!)

You didn't miss much, and you missed a lot

LR > XIII > XIII-2

There are dozens of us Lightning Returns defenders! Well, at least half a dozen.

XIII was fine.

XIII-2 made me loose faith in FF as a brand for years (and not playing XIV until well after XV came out and made things worse didn't help!)

And then I was so traumatized by how horrible XIII-2 was that I never played LR. I'd like to try it!

XIII is good! XIII-2 was mostly fine. I liked Serah, but my word, Noel, Caius, and Yeul were super lame. Made it hard for me to care about the story outside of Serah. Eventually I just lost interest and dropped it.

I think XIII-2 was the first game i ever platinumed.

Unironically love XIII-2 despite very much not liking XIII. Everyone was constantly saying how XIII had a great battle system that they never let you use - well, XIII-2 lets you use it and makes it even better! Plus the vibes are great and I'm a sucker for the specific kind of shenanigans the game was doing structurally.

I mean technically but I didn't really dig having random monsters as a third party member so it was somehow less enjoyable than having an actual third party member

Time travel is fun.

I can't remember what my opinion of XIII was. I just know i didn't love it. Went into both the sequels expecting them to be a bit crap but enjoyed both.

Time travel to that past section where it was raining and you had to like 5 million random battles.

Still probably the single worst section that ever been in any video game ever made.

I don't know why I'm so put off whenever Monster Hunter is in showcases like this.

I guess it just feels like it appears so much, and I've got no interest in it, so it's just fatigue. It's like seeing a farming game on a Nintendo Direct.

Never cared for MH at all either.

My recommendation

Get interested in Monster Hunter

Monster Hunter rules tbqh
