They're doing everything in their power to circumvent adblock to try to force us to watch ads. https://i.imgur.com/Ve1kTvl.png For months now Firefox has been exceptionally slow, but once the youtube tabs are removed it goes back to normal, revealing who the culprit is. Google is intentionally slowing down youtube and making the site near unmanageable on firefox, all in an effort to make sure that an ad gets through. It still hasn't gotten through yet, but I just posted an instance of an ad that youtube desperately tried to push through, with ublock holding steady. It appeared for a second and then disappeared, but it was enough to make me realize that youtube will do everything in their power, using the combined might of google to try to make us sit through their garbage. --- http://i.imgur.com/0UFI0T9.jpg ... Anecdotally, Youtube is acting fine with Firefox + uBlock on my laptop, not even signed in. And uBlock is the only extension I have installed. I'm not even currently on a VPN or anything that could be interfering with YouTube's efforts. Nor have I noticed YouTube being particularly slow in recent days or actively impacting the performance of Firefox. Now, back in like 2011/2012 Firefox could be borderline unusable on YouTube, adblock or no.
