[LFAQs-redacted-quote] Yes, and that's because Project 2025 is a massive hodgepodge of almost every proposed conservative idea, both reasonable and not. Notice that among those 270 proposed policies are none (or very few) of the insane things which people constantly tout as the reason it's so bad. The article you link has also mentioned 464 parts of Project 2025 which do not align with Trump's plans or previous actions. So, in a massive, sweeping wishlist of moderate and extreme conservative agendas, is it really that alarming that like 2/5ths of it might match up with the wishlist of a Republican presidential candidate? Trump isn't talking about banning pornography, or putting massive nationwide restrictions on abortion, etc. He has gone on record saying that he wants individual states to handle things like abortion, which I think is reasonable, personally. My state just voted to reinstate abortion rights, so now we have them, and those rights are now going to be in the Missouri constitution, instead of precariously teetering on the tip of a Supreme Court ruling which (as proven) could have been overturned at any time. Repealing Roe v Wade was a pretty disastrous thing to do, and it has caused a ton of problems, but if there's any silver lining, it's that states will now be compelled to decide their own laws on the matter without depending on the ongoing existence of Roe v Wade. --- (He/Him) I write Naruto Fanfiction. So, the fact that Project 2025 mentions scaling back federal agencies is not a coincidence. It's probably in there because Trump has already done some of it, and wants to do more.
