Here's what is in Project 2025.

The sources advocate for policies that aim to restrict abortion access, redefine gender to exclude transgender individuals, and limit access to contraception and family planning services, all of which could negatively impact women.

Reproductive Rights:
Restricting Abortion: The sources explicitly call for overturning Roe v. Wade and implementing "the most robust protections for the unborn," including enacting federal bans on abortion and deploying existing federal powers to protect "innocent life". This would severely limit women's access to safe and legal abortion services, forcing them to carry unwanted pregnancies or seek unsafe alternatives.

Limiting Access to Contraception: The sources advocate for revoking Executive Order 14020 which established the Gender Policy Council. This council, among other things, promoted access to "comprehensive sexuality education" and "health services," including contraception. By abolishing the council, the sources aim to curtail these initiatives, potentially limiting women's access to essential family planning services.

Restricting the Week-After Pill: The sources recommend eliminating the week-after pill, Ella, from the contraceptive mandate due to its potential to prevent a fertilized embryo from implanting. This further restricts women's options for emergency contraception, potentially increasing unintended pregnancies.

Gender Identity and Equality:
Redefining Sex: The sources propose redefining "sex" to mean only biological sex recognized at birth in Title IX regulations. This would exclude transgender individuals from protections against discrimination based on gender identity in educational settings, impacting their access to education and opportunities. This redefinition is also applied to HHS programs, potentially limiting transgender individuals' access to healthcare and other services.

Eliminating Gender Equality Initiatives: The sources seek to abolish USAID's Office of Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment, renaming it the Office of Women, Children, and Families and eliminating terms like "gender" and "gender equality" from the agency's language. This signals a shift away from promoting gender equality as a policy priority and potentially undermines efforts to address gender-based disparities and violence.
Economic Impacts:
Potential Impacts of Welfare Reform: While not explicitly focused on women, the sources' advocacy for reforming welfare programs with stricter eligibility and work requirements could disproportionately impact women, particularly single mothers, who are more likely to rely on these programs for support. This could make it harder for them to meet their basic needs and provide for their families.

Conclusion:
The policies outlined in the sources reflect a conservative ideology that prioritizes restricting abortion access, redefining gender to exclude transgender individuals, and limiting access to contraception and family planning services. These policies, if implemented, could have significant negative consequences for women's health, autonomy, and overall well-being.

Rape and sexual assault won't be legal.

On the surface.

It'll be glossed over considerably and the woman is either lying or at fault.

The only time rape is going to be in the woman's favor is likely if the man is of color or if their sexuality doesn't align with the straight whites.

What exactly is he "planning on doing"?

  • Day 1 Dictator
  • Nationwide abortion ban by default (that's what "leave it to the states" means to anyone who knows how to read context clues and history)
  • Undesirables on trains to camps
  • Purging the nation's blood of vermin
  • Complete and enthusiastic Palestinian genocide (mostly so his son can get those sweet real estate deals the news already reported on, but also because he hates Muslims and brown people [that he thinks are the same things])
  • Immigrant bans
  • Taxing the poorest people in America through tariffs
  • Overturning gay marriage and privacy rights by stocking SCOTUS with younger judges
  • Destroying the environment by removing all regulation
  • Harming our children (removing fluoride and vaccines with RFK Jr)
  • Revenge Tour List that includes journalists and cops who held the line on Jan 6
  • Jailing political opponents and dissenters
  • Proving there is at least one person in America above the law, and it's him
  • Violating the Emoluments Clause, again, and just outright taking bribes
  • Sabotaging NATO and world peace
  • Siding with a KGB agent over America's own intelligence agencies
  • Endangering our military by releasing and "accidentally" declassifying military secrets, tech, methods, and people (like he did last time)

What more do you need to know about what he wants to do?

Well, given the fact that he has outright said it's not part of his agenda. And that his agenda (Agenda 47) doesn't have any of the insane things from Project 2025 listed in it.

I really don't understand what you guys think is going to happen. Last time Trump was elected, he moved to do everything he said he was going to do. Why would he start lying about his intentions this time around? Even if he's a liar and a criminal in other areas, he actually does tell people what he wants to do as President, and last time he did that, he was telling the truth. He made a concerted effort to accomplish pretty much everything he talked about doing during the 2016 campaign. Whether or not he was successful in achieving it, that's another discussion, but he made his intentions clear.

Why do you think he would be super deceptive and shady about his intentions this time around? The man has already been President once. We actually do know what kind of President he is.

Project 2025 is a carbon copy of Agenda 47 (really it's the other way around) and Agenda 47 is Trump's platform.

No, but we have a track record here. Trump lies, exaggerates, etc. in a lot of areas, but he doesn't have a history of lying about what he intends to do as President. During his campaing in 2016 he was directly, brutally honest about what he wanted to accomplish. And then he made an effort to accomplish as many of those things as he could. His Presidency was pretty unsurprising, actually. He pretty much stuck exactly to his plan in 90% of the things he did.

So, I find it difficult to believe, and in fact quite unprecendented, that people seem to think he's got some kind of "fake plan" posted to his website, but his "real plan" is Project 2025, despite never having advocated for it a single time during his entire campaign.

I'm just trying to keep things orderly and fair around here. Because it seems like, if I don't speak up against misinformation and major exaggerations, the whole board will spiral into a doomposting echo chamber. Anybody who reads this topic should have at least one person in here who isn't operating entirely on conjecture and hopelessness.

I don't think Trump is going to destroy the world. Maybe that's an unfathomable thing for me to say?
