And my doom posting is based entirely on 2 things

1. I'm a green card holder

2. At some point in the near future I will likely try for kids with my wife and if we do, she's more likely to be a high risk pregnancy due to medical issues

I hope Kamala wins and I think she will win but the fact that the polls have it so tight definitely has me worried

Your reason 1 is also one of the main reasons I'm worried. I'm mostly worried for my friends if Trump wins, though, because his agenda and policies will fuck several of them over.

Surprisingly had to stand on line for almost an hour this morning to vote, normally I can walk in and walk out in 3 minutes.

I'm nearly in my 30's, so, yes. I live on the West Coast, though, so my vote doesn't really matter.

Keep in mind, you can only count them as Harris voters if they nod at someone with a knowing look in their eyes.

Or if they pull out they're phone, see a picture of their wife/daughter and tears we'll up in their eyes.

My thought is that Kamala was looking good. But Trump bailed on the debates and has been able to keep eyes and ears on him. It may ultimately be to his detriment, but it's prevented Kamala from getting a lot of airtime. Since she smoked him at the debate, it's been a lot of Trump doing dumb things for attention and celebrities endorsing Kamala. I think a lack of primary for Kamala didn't allow her to really establish her 2024 brand.

I don't really get into polls so it's just "the dumb shit in neon's head"

That's rough. Ours was no busier than usual, we just walked in and voted. The only line was my gf in front of me since they could only process one at a ring.

We pretty much picked out all the Trump voters easily. There was one guy wearing shorts and it was like 48 degrees outside, and my wife was like "hes totally a trump supporter" and then when he walked from the voting booth to the scanning box with his ballot you could clearly see he voted down the Republican line. He also then went to where his wife was voting and checked her ballot and then followed her to the scanning box. Clearly scared his wife was going to undermine his vote.

Apparently the voting machines in my county are down...

I voted for the first time at my new polling location. Showed up about 7 and there was about a 20m wait.

In Ohio, at the outskirts of Montgomery County - if I were to guess, id say it looked like 90% Trump voters, but nobody expecting a Blohio anyway so

AtlasIntel still has a few hours to release their 5th final batch of polls if they have the courage.

People were worried about Philly turnout, but they're already at 40% of their 2020 total 2 hours in.

Edit: my bad, that was an hour ago. They reached 40% of their 2020 turnout ONE hour in.

We have several and apparently a nearby county has the same issue. But we're Central Illinois so it's not like this should effect anything meaningful.

Well my polling place here in the northern tip of fulton county looked pretty good. Maybe a few more men than women, but not much. Not many young people (probably because it was 8am), and a pretty diverse group. Only one polling place, but it definitely was encouraging to me.

Only an absolute idiot would think Hank Hill would vote for Donald Trump. That's the character understanding of an another BUFFOON.

Yesssssss I love dumb polls like this. Im guessing 12% were just selecting Trump across the board or guessing since Leslie Knope is canonically a Democrat who loves Joe Biden. And even though its a minority 21% saying Miles Morales would vote Trump is crazy. Im guessing most only know what Hank Hill looks like and are basing it on that. Going the other way isnt Bella Swan basically the vampire version of a tradcath? And Walter White strikes me as a Never Trump Republican.

I agree with this, but it could surprise us since 2020 had the highest turnout of any U.S. presidential election
