Anyway, before the rally they met with leaders of the noncommitted movement to listen to them, introduced them to her staff, and said she was open to the embargo.

I saw the clip and you cant hear what the hecklers were saying. Were they definitely pro-Palestine protesters?

Harris is an average politician who didn't actually need to sharpen her skills on her way to the nomination. People shouldn't expect brilliant lines from her. I wonder how Walz would've responded.

This. Heckling only serves one purpose. To irritate and distract. Not to say that a person who feels strongly about something might want to do so, but expect a response like that. There's nothing Harris could have done to actually "calm down" said hecklers. Is she supposed to stop her speech and talk to this one group who is basically singing an annoying song?

Talking is important but hecklers aren't talking so they shouldn't expect talking in return.

The woman already at one point said she wanted a ceasefire. These protesters are either stupid or Trump supporters in disguise.

She called for it back in march, and her speech last week following her meeting with Netenyahu was at least somewhat encouraging since she addressed the crisis in Gaza more forcefully than Biden ever has. Which is why her shouting down the protesters today was kinda disappointing. Not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things, but she should have handled that better especially since they are in Michigan and that is a huge issue in the state so she should have been prepared. But the protesters absolutely have the right to protest and continue doing so until some actual change is enacted policy wise. Her words are a good start, but that's all it is: a start

She met with the literal founders of the non committed vote in person at this same fucking rally and promised to take the time to hear them out in the future including taking severe actions such as enacting an arms embargo.

There is no more room to push kamala on this issue. She's on your side.
